Is it possible to own a colloquial birth after have a c-section?

ok so i had a c-section with my 1st baby (which i prayed for)i be wondering what are the chances of me having a vbac with my subsequent child
depends on the incision type.. vertical is usually a no for v-bacs but most c-sections are horizontal incisions now. your health and the bearing the pregnancy goes usually factors in. though the cause for the first can stop everything before it starts. if your birth canal wasn't big enough or something approaching that chances are.. it'll be a reapeat c-section.

In sept im attempting a v-bac i had my son by c-section on may 10th 2008 (so not long ago!) the doctor is confidant that it will be a successful vbac.
It all depends on why you had a c-section...I newly changed doctors last week because I didn't want to have another c-section if it was surplus to requirements. My first child was born vaginal with no complications he was 9 pounds 22 1/2 inches long but my second child be born at 27 weeks so he was not head down and I had to enjoy an emergency c-section with him. This baby is head down and everything looks great so I approved to have her vaginal (VBAC) My doctor & insurance approved it but I had to change doctor & hospital because the hospital didn't do VBAC's anymore. I am exceedingly excited because vaginal deliveries are much more better when it comes to the recovery time and it's less stinging in my opinion. Good luck to you and talk to your doctor around it...

My Aunt have a c section with my cousin and than had a vaginal birth beside my other cousin (but that was more than 10 years later). This would be an excellent question for a midwife or a gynecologist.
It defiantly depends on why you have a cesarean section the 1st time. if it was for presentation or fetal heart rate concerns you have a great casual of a successful vbac but if it was because you got stuck at a specific dilatation or pushed and it did not decent afterwards your chances are not to great. talk it over with you ob/cnm some general public just have to try it to know. good luck!
Answers:    The medical establishment is under pressure from hospitals to not do VBACs. Is it because after 15 years, they've suddenly been deemed "unsafe" because a uterus might rupture? Maybe if the doc uses cytotec and "adequate pitocin to push that uterus to it's limits", it might cause a 3cm window in the uterine incision site. The solid reason lies in the almighty dollar. Thousands of dollars. Hospitals make nearly 4 times more for a c-section than a vaginal birth. Money negotiations, especially in medicine.

Even if you didn't dilate with your previous kid or the baby didn't descend past a certain point, that doesn't tight you can't give birth vaginally. Quite often, the position you are in during the second stage of labor have a lot to do with baby individual able to descend. Lying flat or semi-reclining on a bed is not the best position to labor or deliver in, especially when CPD is suspected.

I would go to www.ican-online.org and edify yourself about VBAC.

it can depend on the blemish if its up the belly they usually wont if it is across the pubic area then they do let you if you own no complications needing an emergency c-section I had a natural birth after a c-section
It really depends on your pregnancy and your doctor. Some doctors won't do a VBAC. I be thankful I had a doctor who would allow me to try it but I had 14 hours of labor and still needed a c-section.

Good luck! Source(s): Happily married mom of 2, TTC #3!
