Child Support retrenchment?
Child support isn't a popularity contest.. It's a mathematical formula.. Your income, your ex's income, and the amount of time the child spends with respectively of you. IF you have had an income change, they MIGHT adjust the wage amount... If your income is still the same, the amount won't go down. Your credit card debt and your loans aren't your childs problem, and they aren't the courts problem either...
I am very relieved that you are making an effort and you have your child's interest at heart. You should file for a motion to slim down support payments now or it could get to the point where you lose everything and you wont know how to help your daughter out anymore.
I think that the courts can be really unfair to men when it comes to support and custody...thieve it to court as soon as possible because you only want the best for your child, and your financial situation needs to be addressed as in good health.
I wish you the best!
I would find out if there is anyway to have your payments reduced at all. Do it as soon as possible. Sure your debts and such arent the childs problem or the courts as one being said, but if you lose you cant make your loans evertually they will just start taking the money from you (happened to my brother) and if you cant make your other bills adequate to live off of your going to lose your home and your job which mean you wont be paying anyone anything. Now it is a problem. I come up with its great you have your childs best interests at heart right now...so see what you can do and how soon you can do it.
atleast ur making a serious attempt which i applaud you for. could you bargain the childs mother and try to work something out with her without having to move about to court?:
