1 contained by 4 Statistic seem style too big!!?
I heard on the tv today that 1 in 4 women will experience a miscarriage!
That seems extemely illustrious! I did not think miscarriage was THAT common
Can anyone shed some muted on this.
Miscarriages often come to pass before a woman even knew she was pregnant. This is call a chemical pregnancy. A woman may have a period late by a few days (an egg have implanted) but the hormones did not sustain the pregnancy. Her period would start and be a bit heavy.
Most women lose their first pregnancies. This is VERY common. Source(s): 3 pregnancies - 2 miscarriages. 26 weeks pregnant near my miracle baby girl!
I've hear that it is actually as high as 50% of all pregnancies wind up in a miscarriage. However, about 20 to 25% of those pregnancies were never identified as pregnancies, or were never really fully implanted, so the mom just had what appeared as a mundane period, around the time her period was supposed to come.
My doctor told me that that 30% of branded pregnancies end in miscarriages - most early on, too. I have a miscarriage in December. My sister-in-law had an early miscarriage the month earlier she conceived my youngest niece. My cousin also had a miscarriage last fall. So no, I don't guess this statistic is way too high at all.
I know that out of 6 pregnancies my mom had 2 miscarriages... so that statistic doesn't seem illustrious to me...
Miscarriage Statistics - A Look at the Figures and Definitions
Miscarriage statistics can be dramatic. Miscarriage reportedly occurs in 20 percent of adjectives pregnancies. However, according to some sources, this may be an inaccurate number. Many women, before realizing a life span has begun forming within them, may miscarry short knowing it-assuming their miscarriage is merely a heavier period. Therefore, the miscarriage rate may be closer to 40 or 50 percent. Of the number of women who miscarry, 20 percent will suffer recurring miscarriages.
My mom had 4 miscarriages after me. So it probley is right
It might actually be higher because profoundly of women don't even know they have an implanted egg in their uterus when their "regular cycle" shows up- it's not uncommon and it's not something to really stress roughly speaking. Numbers are just that numbers- every woman's body is different. Take everything you read in the news or see on TV beside a little dose of skepticisim... We have this terrible craving of making everything look like it's just SO serious- and that all these 17 week babies are purely falling out of their mothers- but guess what? They're not, a lot of those pregnancies that end early do so because of chromosomal abnormality and the embryo wasn't compatible with life- it's not something you need to fixate on...
That statistic is pretty accurate. I have no idea until I got pregnant my first time & began to read up. I be scared ****less about miscarriage after reading & then I wound up miscarrying. The miscarriage rate is in the order of 25% in all known pregnancy but believed to be as glorious as 40-50% due to the woman not knowing she is pregnant & chalking it up to a monthly period.
1 in 2 of my pregnancies has done in miscarriage.
That doesn't appear high, because my sister is pregnant for the 5th time, but its her 4th child. The same happened with my aunt, she be pregnant 4 times, only 3 children. So it would kinda make sense 1 out of 4. I just touch sorry for whom ever falls in those statistics.
That sounds about right. I hold had one miscarriage and one live birth, I have a friend that has have one live birth and two miscarriages, my grandma had one and 6 live births, my aunt had one and 4 live births, my other aunt also had one and 4 live births.
unfortunately it is almost right...i am very normal and have have 2 m/c's prior to this pregnancy...once it happens to you, people will open up to you more adn you swot it is so common :(
Answers: Nope, its true.
Around every one in four pregnancies end in miscarriage up to that time 8 weeks.
That also counts the women who may have not even realized they were pregnant and a short time ago thought their period was off by a week. Source(s): 6 miscarriages.
Perfect little Girl due December 4th
if truth be told it is common
Sounds about right actually. I experienced two myself. And some women don't even know they are pregnant when they own one. They just think it's a really heavy time or that their period was a week or so late.
That does seem extremely high! I do not know what study has shown this, but I find it tremendously hard to believe.
Actually, it's about one in three. BUT this does count markedly early miscarriages when the woman may not have even known she be pregnant. But yeah, roughly one third of implanted embryos will not make it to full term pregnancies. :(
