How successful is the morning after pill?

I know stupid mistake! I just got implanon removed 3-4 weeks ago, still no period and im on no birth control atm. The dr told me im extremerly fertile until i own my first period after coming of implanon. Well 2 days ago i had unprotected sex, he finished inside of me and i went to my dr and asked for the morning after pill he said something more or less after coming off implanon i can ovulate more then once before i procure my period and that if im ovulating atm the pill will only be 25% effective is this true?
Answers:    I am sure the doctor's statistics are accurate but everyone women's body is different so if you really do not want pregnancy you should probably run the prescription quickly. It can take up to 6 days for sperm to make their course to the egg and fertilize.
