Baby announcements? When?
When should baby announcements, not birth, be sent out to let family and friends know that we are expecting?
Congratulations! I would suggest after 3 months, it sounds terrible but 75% of miscarries happen after the 3er trimester... so I would be completely sure that newborn is healthy and strong to announce it.
I never sent any announcements that I was expecting, that's what the phone is for and just discussion to people. I don't believe in sending a piece of paper for every little entity that's just going to be tossed and wind up in a landfill.
Answers: Unfortunately, zilch is really set in stone when it comes to a baby, until it actually arrives. I wouldn't transport out announcements telling them you're expecting. I would simply let those close to you know by calling or telling them your communication in person. Everyone else will learn it eventually from the others.
Save the cute announcements for when you own the baby. Then you can put a picture of him/her on it.
This really will help you in the long run if, for some plea there should be a complication with the pregnancy, or a loss. You wouldn't want to have to report all of those people again that you lost the baby...and it would be incredibly rough for people who haven't talked to you in a while to ask you how it is going and enjoy to re-hash it all.
It is up to you to truly decide when the appropriate time is. With our first child we waited about 2 and a partly months before we announced it to friends and family. My wife is only in the region of 5 weeks right now and we've already announced it.
i would say in the 2nd trimester. only because then the chances that anything could "go wrong" are alot smaller.
Probably after about 2-3 months. You want to make sure nil is going to happen and it stays.
Congratulations!
Whenever you are comfortable doing so. Some populace don't like to say anything until they pass the 12 week fault. Others(myself included) can't wait to tell the exciting news, and blab to everyone lol That is what I did second week, I'm 5 weeks.
After 12 or 14 weeks.
Congrats!
