Baby not moving much should i be worried?
Hi,
My baby is really active monday - friday constantly and this week i even saw him moving around my stomach and saw kicks for the first time on wednesday. But this weekend hes only just moved, and nowhere near as strong. Saturday i got a few little kicks prob 8 surrounded by the whole day. and today i have prob have 2! but in the week hes mad.
Should i worry something like his lack of movement?
Thanks in advance xx
Hiya,
My little one was huge and made less movements near the ruin of my pregnancy but when jhe moved they were really big movements.
I bought a heart beat monitor - dopple thingy majiggy cant rememeber actual name lol - for my husband to listen to our babies heart measure to help him bond because he felt like he be missing out.
Well i rarely used it in the early weeks but surrounded by the last 6 weeks or so i used it every few days when i felt that my baby be moving less, just to reassure myself that he was still fine within there - obviously if they move less than 8-10 times a year thats when you definately should speak to your midwife!
If you've only in recent times started to see baby move then I'm guessing you're somewhere between 18-25 weeks? Really at this point they can be unpredictable. Some days they're moving non stop and others they go really subdued.
Try a very cold drink to see if it gets a reaction.
As long as you hold a little movement, things should be fine but if several days pass and you're still worried then ring up your midwife.
Perhaps you could invest in a doppler to put your mind at rest. You can pick them up for about lb10 from ebay and you can listen to babies heart as much as you like.
Most likely you shouldn't be worried, but as you are phone your midwife to put your mind at rest.
You didn't mention how far along you are, but kick counts don't usually start until 30-32 weeks. My son was very live in the womb, but would have periods of a week or so when he only just moved at all. I would always notice that I get bigger during and after those times. Babies can have growth spurts inside, too!
Answers: hey im exactly matching dates as you, you due on 12 november? lol. my baby has be soooooo active today but about two days ago he barely moved at adjectives, but remember he can get bored in there and sleep like mad. and you dont feel all the movements. try eating an icepole or crunch and rime cube and see if that helps him move! my friend had no movement for 2 days at 26 weeks and it was because her placenta have moved onfront of the baby so she couldnt feel its kicks through that? if ur worried offer your midwife a call but its normal to have sleepy days where on earth he is less active! xx TC
Nope. As long as he is moving, everything is ok. How far along are you, by the way? Movement slows as you obtain further into your pregnancy, as they have less room to move.
If your baby go 24 hours without any movement, I would get to L&D.
my baby does the same entry, each time i go to the labor ward where they do a stress try-out and a scan to make sure everything is ok.baby might just be contained by a funny position where you cannot feel him,try not to worry, but i would hand over your doctor a call just to ba sure x.
