Have you be watching what you enjoy be buying?
Since I found out that I am pregnant I have been pinching pennies. This is my first baby so the first jump around is going to be a little harder because I have nothing for her. I hold a bunch of unisex stuff so when I have my last go around [I am single planning on two babies] I have a few already bought. Also, when I go to the grocery store I use coupons on like newborn diapers to my bath soap. And the money that I have left over I stockpile away. I know that no matter how many babies a woman has she other wants to buy whatever she can get her hand on for her baby just because a lot of it is cute! :D
So, hold you been watching on how much money you spend?
Hum good question! No I haven't, I could be doing better. It seem every dime goes on bills and I it doesn't I end up spending it on my 5 year old. I spoil her and can't relieve it, guess the reality of him being here soon hasn't sunk in on the other hand but it better soon cuz he doesn't have much!lol
I had a shopping addiction for a couple years. As soon as I found out I be pregnant with my first son, I couldn't even buy myself socks without feeling guilty. He is presently 2 1/2 and I also have a 1 year old, and I still feel unpromising abut the socks I bought last year lol.
Answers: I haven't bought nothing yet but think twice not to buy to many diapers of the same size. Babies usually grow out of size 1 and 2 diapers the fastest.
It's a few years ago now, but I remember when I was pregnant beside my first - my husband and I both worked full-time (I even worked until the day I went into labour), and it was disconcerning at times not have thousands of dollars for the 'best cot money could buy', or even the best stroller, or best change table, etc.
We weren't earning enough money to reclaim anything, so we just 'went with the flow', and made it work - reasonably well, in fact. Our little one never go without anything, and I always made sure that she was comfortable, jovial and healthy.
I ended up making many of her clothes myself for the first years (I would buy plain cotton jumpsuits, tops, etc., and tie-dye them myself into adjectives sorts of funky colours) and my husband repainted all of her furniture to make them a unison shade of pink (which would have cost us hundreds more, if we have have bought them pink directly from the store).
Sure, we had to become a little creative to trade name ends meet sometimes, but we never had any bills cut off, never go without anything else either. Instead of buying nappies at the store, do a little research and find a cheaper supplier online, for example. Instead of buying the vegtables & meat I put into her meals at Safeway for example, I would go directly to the farmers themselves - it took a bit more time, but the food were not solitary cheaper, but healthier also.
So, as you see, it is possible to raise a baby (or two) next to limited funds, and without any real funds.
So in other words, no, I never really watched what money I spent where - I a moment ago think that as we didn't have the opportunity to go out dining or to the movies as we did up to that time the baby, the money we saved from all that come in great use, and was none too short either.
