So I've Just About Tried Every Thing To Get My Baby Out!
I'm 39 Weeks, 3.5cm, And Been Having Mild Contractions On And Off For The Past Three Days .. My Doctor Stripped My Membranes And I Have Had A "Bloody Show" And Lost The Rest Of My Mucous Plug ..
..So My Question Is ..
How Do I Stimulate My Nipples To Start Contractions? I Mean Really How .. Every Thing I Have Read Says Use Your Palm And Rotate In A Circular Motion .? Ok, But Than It Says To Mimic A Nursing Baby .. Am I Missing Something?
I'm not sure about your nipples, but I've heard to have someone rub your ankles. There is a pressure point right around the ankle bone that can stimulate contractions.
You might need to have your husband stimulate them for you. The books and info occasionally says it but it is 'sexual' stimulation that they often mean. Also a suckling motion might work.
I own also that heard that having sex can start things but you should get your doctors ok since you hold already made progress.

Answers: It's basically meaning that not only the nipple should be stimulated but also the areola around it, much resembling how when a baby is suckling, some of the areola is in their mouth, too. Massage that area that would be individual suckled by a baby. Some places say to do it for 15 minutes but one I read said to be careful because it could own some strong effects and to try for 5 minutes and wait to see how your body reacts, then another 5 etc. but not overdo it.
