Have you or anyone you know gotten pregnant from putting sperm contained by an instead cup?
I haven't heard of using that to get pregnant. I hold however heard of doing that at the end of our pregnancy to promote softening of the cervix. Because sperm contains prostaglandins in it that fluently soften the cervix and that promotes dilation.Maybe you are getting the 2 confused? Actually having sex would not only be easier but probably better.
A menstrual cup (Luna, Diva, and Moon are the largest brands) sit right inside the vagina. They do not look like a diaphragm. Chances of sperm moving close to the cervix are minimal if the semen is contained in one of these cups.
Are you speaking of a cervical cap? They are smaller than a diaphragm and I suppose if you have sex, then inserted one, without using spermicide, it might work, but you've still got a better casual of getting pregnant the old-fashioned way of having unprotected sex around your fertile time. I've never heard of that. I did once read an article about a woman who get pregnant by using a turkey baster to insert her husband's semen into herself. That sounds funny I know, but she had HIV so they couldn't have sex without a condom.
Sperm cannot survive outside the body for more than something like an hour... so if you mean that you saved it for a while before ovulation th en no, ti won't receive you pregnant.. it's just gross.
I don't see why you wouldn't just have sex resembling normal during your ovulation time.
When used while TTC, usually the husband would ejaculate in you as usual and then you would insert the cup to keep the fluids from leak out. When a man orgasms, the tip of the penis is usually at the tip of the cervix, and both the location and the force help the sperm on their way to the egg. The instead cup would actually probably cut the chances of pregnancy if used in the manner you describe, compared to what the probability would be if you did it in a conventional manner.
I have used Instead cups while TTC. I enjoy not, nor do I know anyone, who has gotten pregnant using them the way you describe, though. Source(s): Common sense and research
