Why is it that at present women miscarry much more regularly than they did 20 or 30 years ago?
Almost all my friends miscarry their first pregnancies. Some even miscarry their first two pregnancies!! My mother's friends on the other hand seldom did! Why's that?
I don't think that is true. I just cogitate that now days more women know that what they experienced was a in reality miscarried when women a long time ago weren't aware that is what had happened. Maybe they a moment ago thought they had irregular bleeding. Women can find out a lot sooner now that they are pregnant than they could 30 years ago. Statistics articulate that almost every woman will have at least one early miscarriage or chemical pregnancy surrounded by their lifetime. Most of them before they ever even knew they were pregnant.
So I don't judge more women have them, just that maybe more women are aware them very soon.
The happened just as habitually, if not more often.
But women didn't even know they were pregnant until alot following because they weren't testing for it, they just relied on missing a couple of periods and the Doctor would confirm it once they could touch the uterus move up.
So when people nowadays miscarry at 6 Weeks or less, contained by the past they would have just thought it be late period and carried on.
Also women never talked something like these things.
It's only been in the final few decades that you could even buy a pregnancy test from a pharmacist. Before then, you'd have to keep on and go to the doctor's office, so many women be much further along by the time they knew they were actually pregnant. In the intervening weeks of not knowing is when the majority of miscarriages ensue, so that's why the rate seems to have gone up. Now that we can test 5 days formerly our periods are even late, the situation is compounded further still.
MIscarriages don't happen more often now, we in recent times KNOW of more of them now b/c pregnacny tests can be taken much earlier presently than they could have before...
Back in the year, women could have an early miscarriage and pass it rotten as a slightly late period and not think anything of it.
Nowadays, we can detect pregnacny so impulsive on that when the pregnancy is lost, we KNOW it's a miscarraige and not something else.
It's not that we miscarry more as appose to pregnancy test are a lot more accurate and pick the pregnancy up quicker than what they did 30 years ago. Women then may have miscarried lately as much as this generation does, only due to tests not one as precise they never knew they were pregnant.

I just think that presently days we have better medical care and are able to know when we own become pregnant sooner, and realize we had a MC, and not just our monthly cycle. Source(s): I misscarried my 1st pregnancy, and now hold 5 healthy children and 31 weeks with a baby girl.
Answers: My doctor told me that almost 50% of all pregnancies finish off in a miscarriage...the reason it seems similar to it happens more is because we find out we're pregnant so early now and so spinal column then we may have miscarried before we be even aware we were pregnant.
i would say since time changed women do seriously more things than they used to do before for example more drinking and doing hard labor jobs or into like mad of physical activities
