How to comprehend an ultrasound?
I know, I should ask my doctor about this, but I'm supposidly 6 weeks pregnant and got a transvaginal ultrasound. What is the black part? Cause they are not sure if near is a gestational sac... for example, here is a picture of an ultrasound at 5 weeks http://www.e-clipse.com/images/scan_5wee… . I just thought the black part was the uterus..how can I differentiate the sac...? Or does anybody own a link of an ultrasound of a women not pregnant? Thanks.
Answers: The black circle is the sac. I don't understand what you're asking.
The big shaded area is the uterus.. close to the whole picture is of the uterus, and the black spot is the sac, and the spot inside of it is the embryo. Source(s): 34 weeks pregnant & an ultrasound technician
nope it is the sac...its filled with amniotic fluid which is clear. congrats!
