Anyone ever have a nurse or doc that they werent contained by labor when they be? please read?
my water broke the day after she was due so i go to the hospital. they sent me up to the 4th floor and had me get on the monitor. the nurse that was working darkness shift came in and put one of those blue pads beneath me so i didn't soak the bed. she came back in and told me that she think im just peeing! she said sometimes you cant tell the difference being that far along. i call my doc and told her to get to the hospital the nurse was trying to send me home for wet myself. the nurse came back in and took the blue wad and put it right up to her face and smelled it(gross)and was still insisting that it was pee. my doc get there and did the amniotic test and sure enough it be my water lol. just wanted to share and see if anyone else have ever had an experance like that before
YES! We went surrounded by late at night the nurse sent me home and we went right subsidise the next morning and had the baby 3 hours following!
when my Dr arrived he said he was shocked to see me because he thought for sure I would have had the newborn by now. Then we said about how the nurse sent us home with a sleeping pill.he wasn't markedly happy about that.
my husband thinks we should own sued because they ended up needing to do an emergency c-section, but I was freshly relieved that my baby was ok.
It wasn't appropriate for the nurse to make assumptions on whether it was urine or not, but she wouldn't have sent you home minus the doctor's order to do so. Nurses don't have that authority to make the conclusion whether or not to admit you to the hospital, nor do they have the ability to assessment your fluid without an order from the doctor.
Answers: Well beside my first I was told to get in the shower. Lay down and rest. Blah blah blah. Because they said it be my first pregnancy and that labor was gonna b long. Thank God I didn't listen to her because I woulda delivered right at home. I was fully dilated when we get to triage.
