Pregnancy insurance cross-examine - please relieve!?
I just got a positive test today (YAY!) I am THRILLED more than I can say-so since I have PCOS and we got surprised by this one without any ovulation psychiatric help! BUT, I have these questions:
First the big one: I don't have strength insurance and am obviously scrambling to fix this ASAP. My husband's work insurance wants an extra $550/month to cover me and that's freshly too much. If I see my Dr before I get a policy somewhere else, will this be considered a "pre-existing condition"?
And second, I've been spotting for olden times 3 days (just a little) but I'm worried. Should I be worried, or is that normal?
And last, I'm an information junkie and my initial instinct is to go out and buy every book on pregnancy that be ever written. Any tips on what are good books and also a good pregnancy journal?

Answers: As far as insurance you can stir to Social Services and see if you qualify for Medicaid, which would cover all expenses-including dr. visits and hospital stay too.
The spotting does concern me. You might want to go to urgent watchfulness or the emergency room about that. Maybe it will clear up I hope and you won't have to, though.
As far as books---I like the book- "Your pregnancy week by week"- thats great! Another book i.e. good is "What to expect when you're expecting". Thats great. I don't know of any particular journals, but even if you a moment ago got a regular little journal and write how you feel, or post to your baby that would be nice too.

Also a lot of companies will have a motherliness waiting period once you add maternity coverage and it isnt extraordinary for that waiting period to be 1 year before you get pregnant. I would vote you might want to find a way to come up with the $550. Usually with group coverage within is also a certain time frame (enrollment period) that your husband can add you - so if you are in that time frame I wouldn't dally around. Good Luck!
