1st U/S tomorrow, im so uneasy!!?
what should i expect tomorrow at my first U/S appt? im almost 22wks so im hoping they will tell me if its a boy or a girl. i just feel so restless! like im meeting my baby for the first time, even though he/she have been moving around in there. what be your experience? thanx!
its AMAZING! i knew i was pregnant but the first time i saw him in in attendance it was like wow, i really have a babe-in-arms growing inside me!! they will be able to tell you the sex!!(inless he/she is set on the legs being closed). I found out i be having a boy at 16 weeks so im sure you'll find out at 22!.. I read the answers and they are great but one thing no one said on the other hand is to bring a blank dvd or tape so they can record it and you'll have it forever!! hold fun!!
At 22 weeks your little guy/girl will look like a little one. You'll be able to see the head, the torso, the arms, legs, hands and foot. Hopefully you'll also get that money shot and see if it's a boy or a girl.
I can't tell you what my experience was approaching since I still have 2 weeks until my ultrasound!! I had one ultrasound at 9 weeks, and it just looked close to a twitchy blob. It was still amazing though to see the screen and know that it was my little one. :-)
Answers: Take someone with you -- it's a mind bender (in a good way!)
Don't cart your eyes off the screen, and be sure to tell them at the start that this is your first scan and please can they pocket lots of pictures :)
At 22 weeks, you'll have a long session, up to an hour, and they'll check for all kinds of things; sex of the babe, feet and hands, profile of the face, really cool stuff. You'll see the heart spanking and watch your baby moving around. It's really exciting, so just pretend back and enjoy it!
Oh and you might want to drink some OJ about 15 minutes since you go in, because this can wake up the child and get them moving around more which makes it more fun :)
