36 weeks pregnant and hurting?

I'm 36 and a half weeks pregnant and ive been losing my mucus plug slowly but i was checked 2 weeks ago and they said i be thinning out and the baby was head down... I'm getting induced on Wednesday for medical reason... and today since i've gotten up i've had sharp pains down there and i've been have menstrual like cramps and yesterday everytime i would sit or stand up i'd hurt really bad what do you think it could be?
Answers:    I'd utter go to the hospital. If it is persistant, that could mean you are in rash labor. Go just to be on the safe side.
