What sex it is? boy or girl? doc confused.?
had an ultrasound at docs office today at 18 weeks. legs were closed not crossed so doc couldnt inform but he thought it could very well be a girl. then from another angle, he said it looked resembling a boy..what r the chances its a boy? i mean on last call on at 15 weeks, they said they were 70 percent sure it was a boy... now i am mighty confused. i have bought so many boy clothes!
I would say the chances are roughly 50/50. Source(s): Jesus Christ woman.
This happened to me twice.. I know how frustrating it is.. I had an ultra nouns at 19 weeks in the er for some bleeding, my baby was lying within a strange position and the ultrasound tech wasn't able to get a full view of her masculinity, at first she was saying boy, her umbilical cord was between her legs giving the depression of male organs, she moved a bit and then the tech said she saw the 3 lines which means girl, after she said shed bet 100 bucks it was a girl but I needed another us to be certain.
I went backbone at 24 weeks and my babys legs were litterally crossed and closed tightly, she wouldn't move them, she wouldn't turn around lol..
Turns out because she was doing that they didn't get correct pictures of her bladder or kidneys and I have to have yet another scan!
Finally at about 27 weeks she have her little butt up in the air and we could clearly see her girly bits and we finally got some awesome pictures.
So scan can definately be weird, the longer you wait the more accurate it will be. :) Source(s): Mommy to be 34 weeks <333
Answers: you are going to have to wait till your subsequent scan to find out for sure! but when the legs are closed its difficult to tell!
You shouldn't have be buying clothes based on a 15 week ultrasound... Ultrasounds done before 16 weeks are only in the region of 65% accurate... that's alot of room for error.
I would wait until thursday and try to see it better then... drink some orange liquid before your ultrasound to get the baby moving. Source(s): I'm an ultrasound tech.
I wouldn't trust them, even if they do tell you. At my 16 week, my doc be 95% sure it was a girl. At the 24 week one, the legs were crossed and he couldn't tell what it be. Then, at 32 weeks (a week before my shower), it was a boy, maybe. I have to go and pay for a 4D ultrasound to find out for sure because the legs were still crossed and they couldn't see. I have to go twice for them to get two separate opinions, until they showed me testicles on the big peak. I am due Thursday, and am still not convinced either way as the legs are still crossed and I have but to see the "money shot"! You may not be able to know until he/she appears, as much as it will drive you nuts! Keep the big stuff neutral either method, and save yourself some money later on. Wait until Thursday, hold bad on buying anything else until at least then, and if your doctor still isn't sure just buy nuetral and linger for your surprise!
Early scans aren't very accurate so I don't know what sex your baby is. Be not detrimental buy white/cream, good luck!
Try this cute little try-out just for fun and maybe it will be right. Okay, you have to pee surrounded by a cup ( you should be used to this by now), then you mix in a tablespoon of Drano. If it is green= girl and blue=boy. It worked for me both times so maybe it will only be something fun and give you a little clue as to what you are having.

lol! no body here will know the answer to this! All you can do is wait!
I wouldn't trust anything yet. The old wives tail is if you dream of a boy you will hold a girl...sounds corny but it worked for me and my friend.
its 50/50
only the doctor will be able to tell
