My girlfriend is 2 months pregnant but won't stop drinking, what do I do?

My girlfriend has been pregnant for 2 months now but she is still have a glass of wine every week or so. I fear for my child's life. She claims it's my slate because I keep drinking every night, but I am tired of her excuses. If she is not willing to diligence for my child, is there any legal action I can give somebody a lift to force her to stop drinking?
Well it would probably help her if you stop drinking too.

Her being pregnant requires for you 2 to work as a squad.

If you can't do that than you guys are really going to have a difficult time taking care of your baby.
To be completely honest, The doctor will tell you a cup of wine every now and then is fine. Even a glass every evening (although it is a risk. without a doubt about that) There are alot of woman who drank a glass every night and have perfectly fine babies. As long as she isn't getting wasted Don't worry TOO much. But, when my boyfriend would drink around me it cause me to stress and want to as well. Realize being pregnant almost shuns you in a bearing. You can't do ANYTHING you used too. I don't think she's trying to be in the wrong. But you can show her the websites for fetal alcohol syndrome. I had a beer awhile stern. (I was told one a month actually helps verbs your kidneys out and will help the swelling later in pregnancy.) But when you read up on that stuff and SEE what can appear to your child.. If your any bit concerned you drop the bottle. It scared me. Drinking won't kill your baby (it manifestly can) But if it's affecting the baby, it will just mean your tot will come out mentally disfunctional, whether it's retarded or deformed. Theres so many things that can happen. Show her those risks. And I hope you don't think im man rude by saying this, but maybe don't drink so much AROUND her. Im pregnant as well, and when my boyfriend would drink around me it bothered me. Your going through a rough time too, i know, i would move about off on my boyfriend for basically nothing, because of my hormones. It's stressful for both of you. So try that, and relief her, and both of you maybe can work together on it.

Good Luck.

Tell her doctor, or wait for a possible miscarriage. A friend of mine be born with Fetal Alcohol Syndrome, which is what can happen when Mom doesn't stop drinking. Granted, a glass of wine is supposed to be OK, but you of late never know, so it's better to be safe.

I'd start by telling her doctor, and you should quit drinking too, for support. It makes me nutty when my boyfriend is the driver, and then drinks, and he expects to take us home! Ha! No!
Dump all the alcohol in the house and refuse to buy anymore for starters drinking while pregnant is tremendously bad for both baby and mom also it can cause blood to not clot properly and can be dicey when giving birth if you do not clot properly for starters. a glass of wine every week or so probably wont hurt
you cant actually do much not for that amount of sum anyway. if she continues to drink alot and loses the baby due to the alcohol she will be in big trouble. also it might help her if you stop also. its call teamwork..after all it did take 2 to engender a baby
i agree near first answer, print off a factsheet of foetal alcohol syndrome and the effects it has on lives. some say one chalice a week is ok, but not every week, especially in this crucial developmental stage (first 12weeks). she needs to realise that yes, one might not hurt, but there is a defence behind the drinking. and ts not very fair sitting within drinking in front of her that will just tempt it. you are the parent too,a nd just because she is the one carrying the child, is your responsibilty too. you want her to stop drinking?? maybe you need to too. good luck near everything x
No you cant do anything but instruct her eventually she may get the point! Do anything DINKING IS HURTFUL don't give up never it's your baby hang on to speaking up! Someone has to be that baby's voice and I'm glad your saying something about it!!
Answers:    In America they tell you that one glass of wine can harm your toddler.
In England you are allowed a couple of glasses a week (only 1 in one night though, and not a big glass).
If she is individual having one glass every other week then your infant will be fine.
Im English and I live in America both my English and American friends had the odd chalice and I have never heard of a baby individual affected (apart from on the news etc when the mother is an alcoholic).
Good luck xxx
Unnfortunately no...but maybe you shuld look up Fetal Alcohol Syndrome and show her what can come up to babies who's mothers drank.
your're *** drinking too? set a well-mannered example.
give the baby up.
I was pregnant and had to contribute up drinking too. But as an ex- pregnant woman I can tell you right now it matters A LOT that the father of the child give support to the pregnant woman, so you have to stop drinking too and/or doing everything your wife can't do that makes her feel fruitless (like eating fish or ham, etc. ). Hormones can play real hard on pregnant women, our bodies adaptation, our dreams seem unclear, we loose control of our lives, we wonder if we will be good moms, we verbs about everything. Try to find out the reason behind her drinking and sermon it up with her in a calm track. It must be hard being a single mom (you are not married I assume), not because of the legality of the situation or religion, but because she may be startled you will leave her with the baby then and recurre to alcohol to relax. Try to convince her to stop drinking by giving something nice back to her, like a massage or filch her out to the movies every time she wants to drink. Believe me the time for you two will be GONE when that baby comes and she cannot breastfeed and drink at the same time. I don't give attention to there is any legal action you can thieve while she is pregnant. Unless she is an alcoholic, you can't do anything legally when the baby is born. The fact that you are concerned roughly speaking the baby by posting this question tells me you will be a flawless dad. Approach your lady with love. All pregnant women need that!
