Do any of you dislike your obgyn?
my doctor is a very nice lady .. i just dont approaching her as a doctor .. this is my first pregnancy and i was expecting my doctor to be informational .. tell me what to expect between appointments .. talk to me nearly the birth .. just normal things you dont know with your first pregnancy .. she hasnt done any of this .. im 35 weeks pregnant .. i know im supposed to ask question and i do all the time when im unsure .. is this normal or should she have be giving me more information? she also never perscribed me prenatal vitamins .. i know they are supposed to give you a script at your first appointment .. she never did i had to ask for them at my 4th appointment .. she never measures my belly .. she never explains the tests im getting .. i simply want to know if this is how its supposed to be and i just expected more or if she isnt doing what shes supposed to ..

When I went to her telling her I be pregnant she didn't mention anything about foods I should avoid, activities I should avoid or any of that. I found that I was consulting the internet more than her to find out what be going on with my body.
I contacted a couple of midwife places but so far I haven't heard back from any of them
yes your doctor is spose to explain everything before doing something. when you ask a examine and she doesnt give u the information you are looking for tell her you dont understand and she will hold to telll you to you do understand. maybe you should of asked for a different doctor but you waited to unpunctually..
i stay stick it out when you have your baby it will be all worth it.
subsequent time you try to conceive get a different doctor.
I used to see a male doc for my annuals, because a female wasn't available on my first call in. But when I got pregnant my doctor wasn't there and I got to see a womanly, who turned to be very nice. I really want to go to her next time.
All the staff is unbelievably good, and everybody tries to make me feel as well brought-up as possible. They call to ask if I feel better (I have some spotting and have temperature). It seems like they have obedient supervisors. But the labs! Oh my god, they lost my blood! when I was waiting for the results so anxiously on Friday! It means I have to dawdle for Monday to come to get a new test and linger one more day for the results... sucks...
For the previous answerer: that midwife is terrible, I would've talk to somebody about that.
You want to report her to your local medical board, for not performing her duties to the fullest of her abilities. I would also seek out a more competent dr, as this one seems extremely incompetent in her practice.
Answers: I love my doctor, but dislike the midwife who practices with him. I am an older mom (43) and the 2 times I have to see the midwife all she wanted to do was pass me abortion referrals. The first visit I had to see her I be only 7 weeks and she thought with my age I wouldn't want to have the babe, but the second time I had to see her I was at 20 weeks and was competent to feel the baby move and hear her heartbeat. I felt her comments be very inappropriate and I now net every effort not to have to see her.
