My husband thought it would be funny to put my pink babydoll nighty & ruffly undies! Unfortunetly our 4 year?
old daughter woke up when she heard me laughing and walked contained by and gave him a funny look and a giggle before I could find her back to bed?
What do you think I should do ? Is this kind of a typical situation?
Will she ask questions about this at the wrong time do you think, my sister Is comming over tomorrow to spend time next to her
If she asks, just say something close to "Daddy was being silly and playing dress-up" and leave it at that... no big contract, dress-up and being silly are not foreign concepts to a 4-year-old.
Halloween is a long ways away, so hopefully she'll forget about it by then...

She was probably just a bit surprised that her dad was playing dress up, of late like she does. And what an odd kind of dress up. ;) At that age kids pretty much step with the flow with everything so I'm sure she'll forget about this sooner than you and your husband do. I wouldn't bother discussion to her about it if I were you. She'll forget faster.
And everyone knows that kids will enunciate the weirdest things. Parents need to expect at least some of their embarrassing secret to leak out through their kids. Nobody really cares though and everyone gets a appropriate laugh. ^_^
