Aaahhhh, the inlaws. So fixated on human being unbiased. I've have adequate!?
What do you think of this latest act of man, "fair". My husband and I are 39. My husbands brother and his wife are in their mid 20's. My husband and I just had out first child surrounded by 08'. His brother and wife were not planning on having kids for several years after that. My husbands parents went surrounded by halves with my parents for the down payment on cord blood banking when we have our daughter which was about $800. So, to be "fair" they turned aroung and gave my husbands brother and his wife $800.for what!! Do you come up with this is going a little overboard? If they want to do the same exact thing for respectively sibling then they should give them the money when his bro and wife have kids. There be never even any talk that they WERE going to do cordblood and probably wouldn't. And they weren't even planning on having kids any time soon. Rediculous. Grrrrrr...
Resq-Grl.. It sounds as though there might be jealously on your behalf. Why would you care if they give their son and his wife the money. They can do what they want beside it. That is his folks choice and i see nothing wrong with it myself. I didn't see where they said it be for cord blood. You said that! Isn't time to grow up at the age of 39 and get over the petty things you don't quite agree with. Be indebted for what they do, and they don't show favoritism. I don't mean to sound mean. You asked and this is how i see it. I am sure your adjectives very nice people, and you need not tolerate envy come in to the picture. Be glad your little girl is beautiful and healthy, and she have a loving family. Look at the blessings, not the faults you might see. Good Luck! God Bless Steve
Boy you are angry! Is there any underlying issues here that requirement to be resolved? My step father got a large inheritance and gave respectively of his step children some money and then gave each of his biological children twice that. Do you meditate I should be upset of just grateful I got something?
I would just forget it, its not worth adjectives the stress you are feeling. Besides, his parents probably love them as much as you and maybe they felt unpromising not giving them anything. Who knows. No biggy though right?
The inlaws sound like a couple of red communists!
There is no want to stress over your in-laws giving their children money just because they gave you some. It is their money and they can do with it doesn`t matter what they want. You shouldn't look a gift horse in the mouth.
as long as youve got your cordblood just be contented
You just sound green with envy that you didn't get the money to spend on something shiny for yourself.
That is abit odd. If they want neutral, they should have said we will pay half for you when you own a baby. Now, if it had been they give you money for a new couch or something sure.
It's not your money, it's theirs. They could've put $800 surrounded by the shredder if they wanted to. You're acting juvenile.
Answers: You do sound a bit jealous that they're getting money also. It's not your money and it's not taking anything away from you. The in-laws are giving you and your husband $800 to spend on whatever you want, so why can't they give your brother surrounded by law and his wife $800 to spend on whatever they want?
Erm.. who went to work for that $800? Was it you? Nope, didn't think so. Last time I checked, when you earn money, you have every right to use it as you need. I can see their reasoning. If they WANT to save it for cord blood banking, they still can do! But if they don't, that's their choice, they still GAVE you $400 (as well as the other $400 you received as a grant from your own parents). I can't see how this affects you at all. Jealousy is not an attractive quality. In your shoes I would be pretty damn well grateful they'd given me money at adjectives and appreciative of the fact that I could do that, and just leave it at that. If your contained by laws choose not to do cord blood banking with it next that's their loss, not yours.
If they have the money to throw around, its their money. Look at it this way, when something for them comes up and they acquire some $$ your husband will probably get some as well. That or consider this... The 20 year olds asked for the money for some reason?
