What to charge for daycare?
I am a stay at home mom of a 3yr old with one on the way and be wanting to make some extra income. I used to work in a daycare a couple years ago and I was thinking of starting an contained by home daycare. I need to know a good price to charge each week for full time and constituent time. I will watch newborn to 5yrs old (so they will be around my daughter's age). I will provide 1 meal and 2 snacks (I wont provide formula or little one food). I will teach letters numbers, colors, etc and have outside time depending on the weather. I will also provide occasional overnight nurture (what should I charge for that?). So what should I charge a week for each child and how much for each additional child? Thanks! =)
My son goes to home fastidiousness. She watches 4 kids in her home, and has over 20 years of experience in big daycare centers. She's unstop 10 1/2 hours per day, from 7-5:30. For full-time care, it's $700 per month for under 12 months ripened, and $600 per month 12 months and up. For part-time care, it's $30 per day.
Check out other daycare rates in the nouns. That is going to largely influence a final price. Our daycare has it set up by the hour up to 4 hours, then a charge per day. They do $5 an hour or $21 a hours of daylight. Anything over 9 hours is the $21 plus individual hourly rate. More than one kid goes up by 50%.
They provide two meals (breakfast and lunch) and snacks.
i would say 150 a week. Most daycare's now charge 200 a week and your watching them out of your house which is a better environment. I reflect on that's reasonable. Plus i used to watch 2 kids 3 times a week and she payed me $215 ..$8hr.
Charge $12-15 and hour. I assume beside offering one meal, you will not be doing this full time. That is reasonable. 5 kids to one watching them, right? Your 1 and 1 on the way plus others.
Where do you live? This is nearly average in houston, Tx
