How do you discipline your kids if they don't bring home biddable grades?

I don't, my kids are gonna be unschooled. The educational system is for making corporate drones.
This is certainly a dilemma for every parent because all you can really expect is that he/she does the best that he/she can. If the most that can be expected is a "C", then the parent have to be satisfied with that.

To "muddy" the situation even more. It's believed that some people own extreme difficulty with "written tests" and will always get poor grades.
Depends on the reason for the grades. If they truly tried their best but just aren't that strong in a particular subject, then they don't need to be disciplined, they need relief. Either help them or get them a tutor. If the reason they get bad grades was because they didn't ever study or do their homework or try hard, next take away the computer, video games, or whatever it is that they were doing when they should own been studying. Ground them for a little while so that they can stay home and study to get the grades backbone up.
I used to work with my kids on their homework and kept in contact with the trainer to find out what was going on with low grades.
I dont really think you should punish a child for poor grades. They call for positive re-inforcement and to know they have someone who cares that they do well.
I would start by conversation with the teacher and find out where your childs weakness are and work on that together.
Maybe he/she is not getting enough sleep or maybe homework isnt getting done or perhaps your child isnt engrossed in class.
Figure it out and then start from there.
Sit down near them every night, review their homework. Make sure their agenda book is fill in and contest it up to their home work.If the school has a website, match the agenda book up to the website. Start checking within with the teachers on a regular basis to ensure adjectives the work is being done. Review material with the child. If adjectives these things are being done and the kid is still doing a poor job. Why punish. Somethings people don't grasp and punishing for those is useless.
This really depends on the age. I enjoy an elem. aged child that was not doing well. I talked to the mentor and we agreed on no recess until grades are up. During recess she was to do homework, work on math facts and read (when tutor was on duty). Believe me, this worked wonders. Grades have been great since. This be two years ago.

The down side to this is you have to have a teacher i.e. willing to work with you. Because this IS THE TEACHERS break time. It is also good for the student because it give one on one with the teacher so that if the student needs more attention within a certain area, the teacher can work on that (ex: mult. facts, vocab, etc). So you are helping your student but they are earn back their time.
resourcefully when i was little my mom would buy me stuff if i got good grades and i be like momy is going to buy me things and so i worked really hard and got pious grades and now that im in seventh grade i still work tricky and i dont work hard just to get stuff i work tricky becuase i know that its easy and it gonna help me when i grow up it may sound lke no true but it worked i get my lesson good grades are easy and important Source(s): me
i use the belt! kids these days don't receive enough discipline. they just go on beside their dang shenanigans and don't worry about school. put to death it if it becomes a problem.
Some kids are not good in sure areas. Don't discipline them if they are really trying and can't get it. Try helping them with their homework. Work with them on it. Don't only punish them. Maybe they're having a hard time.
I dont ..Im involved enough near my kids daily to know what their school work is and how they are doing ..you wait till the report card? OMFG Source(s): sure punish them for your insufficiency of involvement
