Should I, should I?
(Soon to need room for 3 car seats)
I am. I use to have a pick up and my wife had the van. When I started staying home she took over mine and The van stayed near the kids. We trades it in for a new one a couple of years ago and last year we traded surrounded by my truck for a tiny little thing she wanted. So now I hold no cars that i like. But I have the kids.
THIS IS THE FUNNIEST QUESTION EVER!!

I will NEVER drive a mini-van. I won’t do it. EVER! We’re going on a trip in a week and enjoy 4 adults, 1 kid in a car seat, and luggage. We inevitability to rent a car and my mother said, “I hate to say it, but I suggest we need a minivan. SUV’s are too expensive” My jaw hit the floor.

LOL – I won’t be caught dead driving a minivan. I’ll put on the market a child before I drive one of those!

I can’t help but laugh though cuz some of the CRAZIEST psycho drivers are minivans! LOL.
Is it 4WD? That is the only plea I probably wouldn't ever own a van... they aren't 4WD and where I live, we have long, hard winters sometimes. I drive profusely of miles to and from work. My next vehicle will be an SUV with a 3rd row seat (had one, but get rid of it and now regret it).
Ah ha! Too much fun. I was so in that...never drivin' a minivan. So instead, I bought a GMC Envoy with a 3rd seat, 4WD. Thank GOD I made that decision. I'm getting used to the hypothesis of a minivan not being the devil, but still haven't warmed up to. On the opposite finish, my husband totally and completely floored me when he said he wouldn't mind driving one. My Mustang-driving husband said that.Yea, I still can't believe it.

I guess if I have to cross that bridge, I will. But really praying for that not to happen.
Buy it! If I own another child I will buy a minivan. I always said I would never get one, but now I don't mind looking approaching a soccer mom. Plus, I read that minivans are the least stopped cars for speeding by the police.
Just get a real van. I'll put up for sale you my 1972 panel van for $999. The doors only open from the outside, so this keeps the kids from getting out and running into the parking lot when you are within the store.

You can fit tons of kids in it too, and nobody will know that they aren't buckled in because there are no window.

It's a bargain!
I'm a true freak. Having a minivan was my *dream* for years back I got one. I finally got one when I had #4 and couldn't fit adjectives the kids/carseats in a car.

Now I'm on my second... the first was murdered by the Illinois Highway Department by money of some poorly marked road construction.

Do it! Join us! The minivan is an adventure, I tell you. Minivan mama's rule the world! <insert evil laugh> :-D

ETA: My minivan is 4WD! It broke down surrounded by Texas and we had to get the part shipped from Pennsylvania bring 4WD minivans are such rare animals down here. It's a Aerostar
I said I would never own one, I still don't own one and at the moment don't need one since I solitary have 2 children. If my Husband and I feel that we should try for #3 then I surely would travel for a Van and I already know what Van I want. :)

I've driven my MIL's van before and I've gotten quite used to it, parallel parking and all.
Answers:    I haven't cracked yet! Although my Camaro is going up for mart soon. *sniff sniff* I swore I wouldn't get rid of my sports car even if it was a backache in the butt to get a kid in the rear seat. But after getting the Jeep, I agreed that it was time to find the Camaro a new home.

And I antipathy to admit it, but I drove my MIL's van a few times and loved it. -SSSHHHHHH Don't tell anyone.
LOL I always told my husband we would never buy a mini-van, we would always stick with the classy SUV's. But when money be tight and someone offered us a mini-van, neither of us complained. In fact, I sometimes like driving the van instead of my PT Cruiser.
That's surely not your mothers high top full size van with rust on the hood, but I still couldn't drive it.
I have a minivan and I'm not even a mom it is a very convenient entry to own. besides I think a vehicle is for transportation not an accessory for my image.
I did and I haven't but I'm pretty sure it's gonna happen because the boys have friends over and I can't cart them all places.
Yep. Still swear it. But I'd be kidding myself if I said it hasn't crossed my mind 100 times since Eli was born.

I resembling it. We see a lot of those at work, and they are fantastic and roomy.
I have a Toyota Sienna minvan and I looooooooooooove it.
Yup, drove a van for almost 4 yrs then traded in for a 4 door sedan. Much happier..lol Plus it doesnt collect as much from the kids as the Van seem too.
I'll drive one near a PAPER BAG OVER MY HEAD!!
NO seriously,
I have my mom's (emergency doctor's appt),
but I have a 2001 mitsubishi eclipse that I just get 2 kids...
I can hold off and when I do need a bigger car It won't be a van.
It will be a yukon denali or hummer...
but never a van...
IMAGINE ME
AAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH
WHAT A NIGHTMARE
BUT THEN AGAIN I am one and only 19.
Of course I said that! Everyone says that until your kids' and every kid surrounded by the neighborhood needs a ride to football or cheer practice!
The mini van is my arch righter of wrongs. I will NEVER drive one. they offend me so much. I can't tell you why, I've always be opposed to them.

I have a nissna murano, I love it, i don't need a minivan. If I enjoy more kids, i'll max it out at 3 (to fit the backseat) and space it out enough so that there's never more than one car seat at a time.

Nothing against those who drive them, i could fastidiousness less if you all do, but they aren't for me
LOL I did say that and yes I drove one and despicable getting rid of it when it died.
I also said I would never drive an SUV and we traded my Toyota Sienna in on a 4Runner. It is a small SUV and the 4 wheel drive was great later winter. I only agreed to it because my husband has always considered necessary one and I only have 2 kids. Had it been my choice I would enjoy kept looking until we found another Sienna we could afford.

Edit: LOL that is too funny. I really don't think 3 car chairs would fit. My youngest is still in a booster, my odlest is 10 and when they have 1 friend back within it is starting to get cramped. my kids were just thrilled to hold windows that really rolled down, but they miss the dual climate control they were spoiled with the vent that would blow directly on them vs the ones in the 4Runner, 2 little ones out of the middle console, it does not even blow hard enough to hit where on earth they sit. But that is my only complaint about the 4Runner. That and my kids have to learn about how far car doors unequivocal that do not slide back LOL my youngest dinged a car within the first month we have it. It was really nice not to do snow tires etc. last winter though.
Our van is just close to that but we have the Kia Sedona. It's really the same design. I LOVE our van. I love the sun roof and the DVD system and the leather seats and adjectives the space in the way back.

I never claimed I wouldn't drive one though. I other thought they were neat and since my first were twins I other wanted one for the space.
