Any teen moms move into an apartment through Section 8?

I want to move into an apartment but I am only 17 in South Carolina u Have to be 18 to do almost anything. I have a set of twins and we call for our own space. how did u go about moving and how do u pay ur rent?
As a fulltime working single mother, I pay almost 85% of rent. I am still responsible for light, water and gas.
Section 8 doesnt mean you will live surrounded by a "bad" neighborhood. You can take it anywhere so long as your landlord accepts it and pass inspection.
Ask if they have an incentive program. Its where all your rent increases are put surrounded by an escrow account each time you complete a goal, such as fix your credit or finish institution, and then when you finally get off the program, adjectives the money in escrow is yours for whatever you want.
I'm in wisconsin, and I applied for section 8 when I was 18. By state statute you had to be at least 18 and have some form of income. There is a waiting record if you want to live in housing, but if you can find a private party renting out a house or an apartment you can be moved up on the list. My 2 year feeble and I ended up moving into a 2 bedroom house for $175.00 a month. I worked part-time for a couple of years, and when my son was 4 they put me to full-time and I made too much to enjoy section 8, so I had to start paying the full rent of $700.00 a month. I would just try to turn to your local housing authority and see it there is anything they can help you with. Sometimes if you are already a parent but underage, they can lend a hand you out in other ways to get your own place.
Answers:    no, but here surrounded by rockford illinois i tried to apply for section 8.

they won't let anyone apply for them and haven't for years now.

guess its because of the waiting account. but i tried to do it.
If you're allowed, just stay beside your family. The section 8 waiting list IS greatly long, You won't get it. Besides, the areas that the housing is in isn't that great anyways. Stay with clan while you can please!

Please go to school. Please go to college. Take a 2 year program., in attendance are tons of options in health consideration that make great bucks. You will have your own apartment that YOU can pay for at 20 years elderly.
