9 months older child have a hallucination of 101/102 and it won't be in motion down next to children's tylenol?
we tried to call the doctor and they put us on hold for more than 30mins then i finally gave up

Give him/her some Motrin/ Ibuprofen and alternate it w/ Tylenol. Do that along w/ a tepid bath. If the frenzy persists for 24 hours, take him/her in.
ETA: I own no idea why so many people are recommend you rush to the ER immediately. If there are no other (serious) symptoms and the infant is 9 months old, in attendance is no reason to unless it gets over 103. 101-102 in a newborn, yes, but not a 9 month weak. Give him children's tylenol ASAP, recommended dose for his age, or if it doesn't list "below two years" give him 1/2-1/4 of the dose for the age they do list. Call the doctor's office put a bet on... do they have a nurse line you can call to ask question? If this is normal practice with them, I'd find another doctor. Are there any other symptoms? Is your child drinking a bottle very well? Keeping it down? Don't panic... could just be teething but it's always best to check next to the doctor. Call them back and don't hold for more than 10 minutes. Keep calling every 10 minutes until they answer your call.
Answers: You could try putting him/her surrounded by a lukewarm bath, but don't let him get cold, if he get the chills it will make his fever higher. But when my son be little we would just put him in a slightly warm tub and wet his head and his fever would move about down. Or you could just wipe off his/her forehead and back next to a cool rag. You can also alternate with motrin and tylenol. One dose every 4 hours alternating (might want to ask your doctor or nurse before doing this though). Hope your child gets better. : (

Then find a new pediatrician and tell your current one why you're disappearing.

Have you tried giving him mortin with it? Sometimes you find a stubborn fever and have to use motrin with it, keep on about an hour after giving tylenol and give the motrin, if that does not make it move about down go to the ER.
try to call the doctor again, and if they do the same thing afterwards take the baby to the doctor, tell them whats wrong next to him/her, and if they say something like "do you have an appointment", next tell them what happened on the phone.

First of all, contrary to some of the other answers a disorientation of 101/102 will not cause brain damage. The biggest thing you should be watching for is dehydration. As long as he is drinking and is not showing any signs of dehydration after he is fine. Signs of dehydration:

With a fever of 101, I probably wouldn't give my daughter anything. Our bodies produce fevers for a function...it is to help fight off the germs. Too dignified a fever is dangerous but there is no documented cases of brain violate in a child with a fever below 108.
I would recommend trying Motrin or Ibuprofen. You can hand over a child these medicines even if they already had tylenol because it is two different kinds of medication - it won't overdose him. I have found that Motrin works better than Tylenol, then I use the tylenol to overlap so the fever doesn't spike put a bet on up before they can have more Motrin. For instance give the child the Motrin, surrounded by four hours give him/her a dose of tylenol. Two hours later give more Motrin. Keep repeating a shape like this until no longer needed; remembering tylenol can be re-dosed every four hours and Motrin every six hours. You could also try a tepid bath. It should not be cold, but luke heat up to try to bring his/her temp down. And remember to give him lots of clear fluids to drink. Pedialyte or Gatorade work well.
Motrin will make it progress down. Tylenol is not for fevers.
That really isn't that high of temperature to be worried more or less.
take the child to a hospital to an er. i would think that a doctor in that could help you. as for your dodctor who put you on hold and now will not answer the phone get a trial doctor asap.
Go to the ER right away. A fever that high can be very precarious if had for too long. ER now.
That is why there are hospitals. Go to the E.R. room. Then file a complaint next to the hospital against your doctor and send them the E.R. bill for not taking care of there own patients. Source(s): I've done it in the past and it worked.
