She's cranky as can be but won't jump to sleep or stay contained by her room...HELP PLEASE?
My daughter's 2 and she has had a busy day. Took her to the park and I played near her all day to be sure to tire her out but she won't go. I've tried everything that usually works when she get like this(reading to her, rubbing her back, etc.) but it didn't work. She's cranky as can be but won't go to sleep or stay surrounded by her room. I've tried tucking her in her bed and all she does is sit there and holler and cry to the point of making herself sick. I've tried discussion to her and she keeps telling me nothing's wrong.
What can I do?
Same thing next to my mom, Just either give her the tough love (let her cry until she falls asleep. ignore her usaully works) or provide her a bath that will calm her down if its really warm. after some warm milk than off to the bed. Night Night!
This may sound harsh but just turn on a hours of darkness light shut the door and ignore her. It is called tough love. she will eventually tired herself out. No business what you do don't talk to her or give her any attention. Maybe go outside for a few minutes.
Just tramp into her room tell her your going to sleep and she needs to go to sleep too. Then kiss her goodnight, or doesn`t matter what you wish, and walk out.
hope this helps.
appropriate luck!
Answers: Lay with her. She desires comfort. If that doesnt work, let her sit on the couch and watch tv with you. She will eventually tip out asleep on you. If all else fails rock her then lay contained by bed with her(your bed). Dont ignore her, shes only two. She may be so tired she doesnt know how to tumble asleep. So your direction to go to dleep isnt registering. Just lay eith her/ sit with her and shell pass out eventually. Let her sleep within the morning!! Source(s): 6 lil siblings
Sit down, turn on the admirer or a/c. Put in a nice long movie. Get a few snacks and eat them with her. When finished draw from a cover and wrap her in. The warmth and the cold air hitting her facade should make her go to sleep.
Um...she's two so try to give her a quick warm tub and a small glass of milk afterwards..that might work
Take her for a drive.
The car other works for me
wow, to previous responses that's horrible
tough love is never the way to go especially abandoning her when she's two
my parents other took care of me when i couldn't sleep or had nightmares.
lay with her on the bed until she falls asleep
i'm sure she'll wear herself out soon
