Working parents, why do you hold a picture of your ancestral...?

...on your desk, as your computer desktop pattern, as your business phone wallpaper, in your wallet, in your notebook, etc.
is it because you miss them every single minute you're away?
or is it because you're proud of them so you want everyone else to see them?
what could be your personal intention?

this question begs for personal answers, so if anyone gets a thumb down, blame the leprechaun. who thumbs down personal answers anyway! geez.
I keep a picture of Brayden contained by my order book, because that's the only reason I progress itno work, and without a constant reminder, I'd just walk out and give up your job.
I hold my family's pictures up all over my office, in my purse and on my work computer because I am so proud of them. I love bragging around them when I have someone in my office. I surface proud to have 3 kids, I get a lot of "Wow, 3 kids. How do you do it?" I resembling that for some reason. It gives me personal satisfaction to know that someone else see how hard I work to keep my family going.
I don't. The only photos that I own, are in a photo album, or stored on my pc.
I am not a working parent so of course what I think may be wrong. I feel they do it because work can be stressful, it can put you in a bad mood and make you surface like crap. Looking at your family or anyone that you love should make you touch at least a little bit better.
I don't...truth is at my job i can take my kids to work with me. Once i'm done near school i'll have that pic.
on my phone I have a picutre of my husband and my daughter together and on my computer my daughter. It just feels perfect when you are away and you just want to relax and look at them once in a while.
I have it on my desktop, phone and surrounded by my wallet. I love my daughter and girlfriend so much and I always like to have their photos next to me because I love them and I'm proud of them.
I waitress but I carry pictures of my kids on me because regular guests ask about them and they enjoy seeing pictures of them when I own them. They saw me pregnant with the last one and like to bring back updates.
I own a picture of my child where I work for many reasons.

1: to remind me why the heck i am doing what i'm doinng
2. i'm deployed and havent see my son in almost 5 monhts
3. because he is jsut so darn cute!!
4. because everyone else thinks he is so darn cute
5. did i mention he's my inspiration to get my butt to work within the 130+ heat everyday? where i have to bearing a mile one way with a backpack and a weapon and work in an bureau with no ac...:)
Because I smile every time I see them.
Answers:    I have pictures of my family at work so that during those really trying moments I can look at the pictures and remember why I am working so hard.
lol, good interrogate. Honestly when i go to work its my break, i get to relax without chasing a 6 year mature or trying to keep a baby entertained and on agenda. Of course i miss them, but i dont need to see them every second of my work day to remind myself of them, i know exactly what they look like lol. I put my daughter on my desktop because within the pic she has these big bright blue eyes and i want to show them off. Sometimes when i see someone walk by sick put the screen im working on down so they can take a peek at her... as if they caution haha. An then i have TONS of pictures my 6 year old drew for me, but thats because when he comes to my work once surrounded by a while he feels special and tells everyone he drew them, its kinda cluttery in my view, but i love love his drawings, those make me smile. I have quite a few pics of me an my kids we took within photo booths hanging in my cubicle, those are there so i can as expected see them, but also for others to say aww your kids are so cute haha. So i guess its for my own personal reasons because i love seeing them, but also so others can comment on them.
