Any pool sanctuary rules you own for your children?
Just curious what you all have(:
My kids are not allowed in the back patio alone when the pool is open,
-no one is allowed to swim alone, adult or child
-when there are more than 5 inhabitants,
-we don't allow the kids to go under the water I inevitability to be able to count heads at any given time.
-No dunking,
-no pretending to drown,
-no splashing people unless you wan to find splashed.
-No neighbors can come and swin without a parent in the pool.
LOL. I might seem like miss over protective mommy, but after a few near drowning situations we hold had to set some pretty strict boundaries. As far as Kaitlyn and Ashton go, being 16 they know what they should and shouldnt do, so no solid rules and regulations there. For the other kiddos we have pretty standard rules. No peeing in the pool, intake in the pool, or drinking in the pool is applied to everyone. Once they are 8 yrs old they can swim unattended (adult still MUST know). Until 4 they must wear some sort of floatation device whether it be built into swimsuit, are floats, or a safekeeping floating ring (their choice). If they are under 7 an adult must be swimming with them. They are required to wear sunblock, and every hour pinch a 5 minute break. No horseplay when kids under 5 are in the pool. If you splash someone, be prepared to be splashed back. No Dunking is aloud whatsoever or you are not permitted from the pool the rest of the day. If you are bringing a friend swimming an adult must be present watching and depending on the age/circumstances in the pool next to you. NO running around the pool, one person on the diving board at a time, you must be atleast 5 to go down the waterslide unattended. If you are under 5 you must stay surrounded by the shallow water. Well...those are our rules.if you have any others you can think of please do consent to me know =)
