Any theories on ancestors who pretend to adore children but really can't stand them?
I was just thinking of my cousin's wife. She is pretty nice toward my daughter, acting all interested surrounded by whatever 'cool' toy we brought with us to visit my grandmother. Someone even suggested that we might become friends since she lives semi-close.
Anyhow, it be brought to my attention that as soon as we leave, she talks about how annoying we are. How loud my kid is near her toys and stuff. I really don't get it. If she didn't act all interested I would embezzle my daughter outside to play.
The funny thing is, she married into the part of the family that everyone else get frustrated at. (please don't take me as being rude. just stating the truth.)
I think you should own a talk over the phone or coffee sometime about it.
She's probably nice because she likes you and just not kids. Kids might also product her uncomfortable especially if she's not used to being around them. Even though she's nice while visit the visit might stress her out a little and hence her complaining afterwards.
She sounds like a contract. Tell her to stop talking crap behind your backs earlier you slap the teeth out of her mouth. That ought to shut her up.
Some people a short time ago don't want to admit that they don't like kids. If I didn't like children (I do though), I wouldn't want to confess something like that either.
Answers: When she's around you, she is one polite and civil. When you leave, the truth comes out--she doesn't like children. Or she doesn't like your parenting style. Or she doesn't similar to you, so she talks bad about your house in general. Now, you may be a great parent and your daughter can be really well behave! I don't know, because I don't know you. I'm just throwing out possibilities.
If I were you I would politely confront this issue. Call her up, start conversation, and ask her why it is she talks in the order of your daughter whenever you leave.
Shes probly just trying not to be rude around you. Or maybe she just isnt unfolding you what she thinks because she doesnt like confrontation.
my theory is that women grain that because they're women, they should be interested in and love ALL children...or at least appear to. people don't expect populace not to like children, so maybe she doesn't want to fall into the sterotype of child hater! I don`t know she wants to make a favorable impression on you and the other fragment of the family if she comes from the "frustrating" side of the family. it's not correct for her to complain about it after that, though. if it's something you sincerely want to do, please don't complain about it later, just don't do it within the first place. i probably wouldn't be friends with her, and it probably won't hurt your daughter hanging out with her. instead of getting frustrated next to her, just be glad you're not internally unhappy like she is! also, don't tolerate her get to you, she'll drag you down to her complaining, unhappy level and thump you with experience. good luck! Source(s): my dad's side of the family is crazy, bookish through experience and observation
Shes being fix because she wants to fit in. She seems to be for a moment immature for an adult.
i think it is no different than we grown up sometimes perform nice in front of people that we couldn't stand, it is just out of courtesy. I don't resembling that she complaint after you guys left tho ... that's just isn't so classy.
