Why is tv desperate for kids?

Some people foul language it in the sense that they use it as a baby sitter, never giving their kids REAL human interaction.
But there are like mad of educational shows for kids nowadays. I remember that Sesame Street taught me how to count to 5 within french when I was 3!
I do an experiment with my son and my students. I told them no tv for 2 weeks. I was going to throw a pizza event and the kids said they didn't need a treat at the end.
Nearly all of them did it. : )
I notice instantly that their grades improved.
Next, long exposure to tv and computer (I need to get stale the computer been on for 2 1/2 hrs) causes damage to the frontal lobe part of the pack of the brain.

my opinion: in moderation it is not bleak at all. my son learned a lot from blues clues... hell, I studious a lot from blues clues, lol
