Why are culture so judgmental?
Right now my family is on food stamps. Long story short. Hubby got out of a job from good paying job. Got another for now to settle the rent that pays WAY LESS just until he finds something in his industry that pays better. (FYI I cant work right now due to a 3 yr outdated with disabilities) Any way we are on food stamps right now becase of this (first time contained by 7 yrs of having kids) I got a comment today while checking out at the grocery store. 90% of what I had surrounded by my cart was super healthy food while the other 10% be more food that we pack in a cooler and take to the pool (cheap entertainment for the kids while broke) The comment centered around me buying ONE BAG of Chips and ONE BOX of capri son juice boxes. Lady said " I'm dip my tax money is being spent on junk" Sorry to ramble. Is it just me near my situation right now or do kids still deserve a small treat like that regardless of the parents income every now and next?
I would have turned around and told her to mind her own f-ing business. I swear, I am so sick of people thinking they are soooo much better than someone else because they do this or they don't do that.
I was at the sand the other day and got evil eyed by a breastfeeding mother because I was feed my son formula from a bottle. I mean, she got her friends in on the convo and everything, they be all staring and giving me dirty looks. Those women had no right to judge me. My child is intake and HEALTHY as a horse!
Don't worry about it girl, don't explain yourself, don't stoop to their level, don't verbs about what ANYONE else thinks. Live your life, be a upright mom, be a good wife, be kind to others and do your best to provide for your family!
she just seem like a very rude person dont agree to them get to you just ignore them, its not close to your using the state for their money this is temporary, she doesnt know your story. just stay strong. i know how its like to enjoy random people be rude in the grocery stores...im a pregnant teen so they automatically assume im on welfare and etc wich im not anyways suitable luck
Answers: who does that woman think she is to offer an unsolicited opinion near the intention of embarrassing you? She is obviously an ignorant, self major jack a$$. Try not to let her commentary bug you, those tax dollars she is talking give or take a few (which you and your hubby paid into for many years I am sure) are meant for inhabitants who are in your exact position. Besides, who cares what she (and anyone else like her) think?

Your kids deserve a treat regardless of what is going on financially for the family, they're kids. they don't need to know about money troubles and should be allowed to simply be kids... which includes naughty pool side snacks during summer break!
Good luck with the rough patch, everything will work itself out... and next time some holier than thou bump says something you shouldn't even respond, a confused look should make it clear their commentary doesn't even warrant a response!
don't listen to anybodys dumb remarks! its your life and they don't know what you are going through. you are always going to come across people who are judgmental whether you are rich or poor. if you are poor they chuckle, if you are rich they talk about what you have. focus on yourself and your kids.

I went to pay for a box of soothers for my partner one and only to realise my bank account was overdrawn.
Point is, really, most ordinary people would have sympathized with you. That female is obviously someone who was born in a silver spoon within her mouth, with a silver rod up her butt to match.
To spit chips (mind the pun) over one bag of chips is in recent times utterly ridiculous.We've had a chips and dip fun night, when we were too broke to progress to the movies, so don't let her make you feel down, you're not alone!
She visibly has nothing better to do than to make individuals feel bad about themselves.
It's nothing to be ashamed sour, and don't let them make it seem similar to that. There is no reason that children shouldn't enjoy a treat, I would have looked at her and told her to enlighten her where to stick her head. Your children are still children, just because you want some help means they don't deserve a Capri Sun? Or a potato chip? The audacity of some people make me wants to throttle them. People who act like that are lately idiots pure and simple, let your children enjoy the chips and the juice and worthy luck to your husband with the job interview!

I own a problem with our system today. People complain because their tax money does go to such services to relief others in need. I don't have a problem beside your situation, it's very understandable. Its temporary until your husband can desire a better form of employment. My pet peeve is the fact that those who take advantage of the system and don't work. They requirement a strict form of qualifications.
At least have a duty part/full time, at least be in school part/full time or one of respectively. half my neighbors are on WIC, TANF, Food stamps, housing or some form of Gov't service and are not doing a damn thing with their lives. that's why race are so judgmental, they see other take the system for what its worth and never see someone such as yourself and family really benefit from the program. im sorry to hear someone such as that lady to enjoy been so rude. i would have slapped her for you if i was at hand, :) god bless

Its the process they make out they are doing you a favour by going out to work and paying tax. I could see the point if she be being made to approach you personally and hand you the money herself, but what she pays within tax wouldn't cover a fraction all the public services ALL taxpayers contribute towards.
Don't take her comments to heart, she's freshly one of these vile people who are arrogant in their way of thinkng.
I compensate tax too and if all my tax money go towards a child being fed, then thats worth paying charge for
