Why is it recommended that a child form other be located surrounded by the middle form?

I am asking because I will soon have three children in carseats and need to digit out the easiest way to transport them all in the coup¨¦ safely.
well if you crash, the child in the middle will be without risk thrown through the windscreen and out of harms way. so put your favorite there.
It is strongly recommended to be placed in the middle seat because, then the safekeeping increases. The people or objects on the sides, keep the seat from falling. Also the middle can in actual fact support more weight then the side seats. It shows a great responsibility to use the middle for your child. Also, the shorter the middle individual is, the more easier it is to look behind your car from the drivers seat. It help with parking and moving in most times. I hope this helped. Source(s): I hold had many expierinces and trails and I figured it is mostly for safekeeping and cautionary purposes.
that's funny, i hear the middle seat is the most dangerous seat to be within, because you can go through the windshield.
well, so if you had someone sitting on the other side of the child, they would catch the baby , unlike if the baby be sitting outside and if the door suddenly opened, the baby might fall out..
also its closer to the driver.
Answers:    The middle seat is the seat most advanced away from any point of impact.

When car-seating with more than one child, the most vulnerable child should be in the middle where on earth possible. This is not figured by age, however. It is figured by what type of seat they are contained by. For example, assuming that all 3 seats have shoulder belts. If you have 1 rear facing, 1 forward facing, and 1 in a booster, the child in the booster would be safest within the middle. If you have 2 rear facing and 1 forward facing then the child contained by the forward facing seat should be in the middle. And if you have 1 backside facing, and 2 in forward facing harnesses the youngest in the harness should be contained by the middle. If you do not have a shoulder belt in the middle, do not put a boostered child in the middle or a child who is using an full-size only belt. Hope that makes sense.

To give a spur-of-the-moment example, I have a 1 yr old, a 3 yr old and a 7 yr outmoded. The 1 yr old is rearfacing drivers side, the 3 yr old is forward facing passenger side, and the 7 yr old is boostered surrounded by the middle with a shoulder belt. Every promotion in carseat is a demotion in sanctuary so the most vulnerable child is typically the oldest, unless the older 2 children are in like peas in a pod type of seat, then it would be the youngest of those 2 that is most adjectives
If you only have one child you should do that because some one crashes into you from the side your kid will be undamaging in the middle
because its the safest spot within the car
I guess if you get hit on any side then they would be in the middle.
Maybe put the youngest in the middle?
It is the safest part of the vehicle. The most dangerous is the front passenger side. If you achieve hit by either side or head-on, the child has a better chance of survival surrounded by the middle of the backseat. Possibly, the only exception is if you get rear-ended at a high rate of speed where on earth all passengers in the backseat are contained by danger. Still, the middle of the back seat is considered the safest quantity of the car. Source(s): http://children.webmd.com/news/20080507/safest-spot-for-babys-car-seat
