How much of the parent's behavior can influence a child?
My cousin is a teen mom, she's 19 years old and has a 2 year old son, she's an indoor soul and doesn't socialize well. She's mature however and spends all of the time she can next to her son, her son doesn't like to go out either, he usually ignore me and likes solitude, plus he's grumpy and always wants to be near his mom only.
Now my friend is a very happy personage, she looks on the bright side to everything likes to go out a lot, she also spends plentifully of time with her child, her daughter is polite and giggly and is the first to talk when trying to make friends.
My quiz is, these are two examples that I know of, how much of the parent's behavior affect the child's behavior, or is it just natural?
Like military said, it can be a mix of nurture and humour. There have been babies (that had rapist fathers) who be adopted at birth and the child grows up to be violent.
Until the age of around 7, all.
Notice how some kids don't like amusement parks? Ask if their parents did. You will find they didn't any.
Its not good for a child to NOT socialize. She may not want to go out, but the baby should be out adjectives the time. Looking at the world, other kids, people etc.
Its not a good thing.
pretty much all of it... monkey see, monkey do
I think this may boil down to the age infirm behavioral science question of "Nature versus Nurture".
Perhaps it is a mixture of both :)
Answers: Short answer!
ALL OF IT
Children only know what they hold been shown, things they see and things they are told. But mostly they pick up on what they see.
this being intro/extravert is adjectives from either one of your parents but I also believe more than 40 percent of your personality and behavior will be altered later from school/ study -environment and ofcourse girl/boyfriends .also respectively age has it stages. When you are funny and outgoing being a toddler it doesnt quarantee you will be all bubbly and sparkly when you are a teen or full-grown.We all CHANGE...Ofcourse when a parent, doesnt matter WHAT age is doing a lot of discussion and explaining and showing some of world outdoors it will be very helpful, the kid atleast will build confidence, pride and common-sense.
