A quiz to parents around hazing ?

How would you feel if your child was in college and used fraternity pledges as a scapegoat for anger directed towards you. I'm referring to the practice of paddling surrounded by hazing contexts.
frat guuys are lame. and hazing is so stupid. Only sorrority chicks like them because they're just as annoying. i dont reflect on they do it in anger i think they think it make them really tough or something lame like that.
If a pledge is likely to go through hazing (and it's not like they don't have the preference not to), it wouldn't really matter what the reason was losing it. If my children decide to go to college and then want to join a fraternity, all I can hope for is that they make accurate decisions involving it.
Answers:    I don't think that there is any anger that inspires hazing. Hazing is supposed to be unpleasant, embarrassing, and - at times - prickly. Undergoing or withstanding these incidents is a way to show that a pledge is serious and sincere about joining the fraternity or sorority.

It's a real shame that some these groups have taken the hazing to dangerous levels. Deaths and permanent injuries hold put hazing in a bad light. The worse that anyone should expect when self hazed is having a butt that is too sore to be able to sit comfortably for a while.
I would feel bad as a parent if the anger be my fault, and wish I had done better as a mother.
