Looking for "portable" undertakings for 3 and 7 yr out-of-date?
My youngest is being admitted to the hospital on Thursday and I need some simple entertainment. ideas for my 3 yr old and 7 yr old when they call on the hospital. Does anyone have some suggestions on activities and crafts to keep a 7 yr out-of-date boy and 3 yr old girl amused in a hospital room?
My 3 and 6 year old love Uno and Guess Who? Fun, easy games...
my kids always have playdo, bear or some coloring books that are portable

You might consider having them play "doctor" and using a toy stethoscope or something. You could also consider a simple treasure hunt with little items undetected in the room - away from your little ones bed or something. It is difficult, though. My youngest was in a couple times due to asthma, and his elder sister (age 4 at the time) struggled with being bored. They often will hold DVD players available in the room, you may try one of their favorite movies. Just some thoughts. Good luck.
