Is nearby duration beyond the tv and computer?
I suggested to my hubby we get rid of cable/internet for a while to save us $. Hubby keeps aphorism no b/c "then what would we do". So I suggested a 2 week trial. He's very hesitant going on for even 2 weeks!
I am having a real problem w/ his attitude toward this suggestion...God forbid he give up his gaming to let go $.how about spend some time w/ family/friends? What's so wrong with that?
If you're so desperate to save money why don't you endow with up something you like?
The TV you probably don't need so much but the internet is a powerful tool today. When used wrong it can destroy your life. But it is really convenient for setting things up online and getting news right away.
I'd articulate a good way to wean off the internet is not to jump 2 weeks straight with no internet but rather to maybe turn every other day then only once every 2 days, etc.

My wife wants to cancel our internet and satellite too. Luckily they come with 2 year contracts. So she suggested we drop our satellite plan to the cheapest one, since she doesn't scrutinize tv anyways. I told her she has to wait til baseball season is over. When she comes to me again, I'll tell her to continue until football season is over. Oops.
Technology is controlling people's lives, at hand are many things yall can do. Like you said spending time with family, he is missing out on his inherited, spending all his time in front of the tv or computer. Yall can go for walk, go to the local park, get involved in the community, plant a garden, play board games, cook together as a inherited, read books and such.
I suggest making him pay for it himself and transmit him that you're not going to help at all.
true when tv was invented people really got a short time ago plum lazy and then they came out beside the remote. when there was no tv are cable
family spent time together have fun. but there was a lot of ladies running around pregnant. but its upright to get away from all this bull

Answers: Why not take his grill to heart and really think about what you would do instead? Think about it. If you present him near this vague abyss of no cable, no internet and the prospect of staring at the 4 walls for saving a few bucks, you will not get far. However, if you show him 2 weeks of accomplishments with friends and family--maybe he'd warm up to the idea and there'd be nil to discuss because you'd have already been there/done that.
