do you think we will be ok money learned or will it be a constant struggle?
Try capture as much of your debt paid before the baby comes as you can. Ask whoever the debt is near if you can go on a payment plan say $20 a week or something I am sure they will be delighted with that it is better then them getting no money at all.
Also putting money on power/phone bills respectively week (like $10/$20) can make life much easier then when a nice $140 power bill comes contained by the mail and you have to pay within in 2 weeks - we do that and most the time the bill comes and is either in credit or we owe $20.
Remember to put away nest egg - ALWAYS - even if it's $5 - put something away it's better then nothing. Don't forget about sports car rego/insurances which you can also put a bit of money on each week. :) Also see if you can change phone plans to one that might be cheaper - even if this means adjectives down on your phone usage. Every dollar helps.
Most people these days are a bit skint - without question you'll manage :) Good luck! Oh and if you can get ahead with your bills beforehand your gf has to stop working this will help too obviously :)
after tax yeah... but you forgot the most important figure. your income.
Answers: You'll be fine.
Child tax credit and working tax credit really helps you out.
Also, maybe the gym is not a necessity? Go running instead maybe?
I have a debt too (who doesn't!) and to make things worse, when my son be 4 weeks old, my fiance got made redundant. We are hardly very well off at the moment but we do cope. We just have to brand sure that all of the bills come out at around the same date so we know whats left for groceries etc to ending the month.
