"My daughter". why does that nouns so?

*WEIRD* to me when I say it? Why do I keep saying it anyway?
I've said it a dozen times a afternoon for several days now and it still sounds weird.

If you have 2 or more of indistinguishable gender and then found out you were have a different gender, did it take a while to sink in?
aww that is cute..but i hold 2 boys..so i havent gone through that...but i bet you are just sooo excited
I know what you expect. It's weird but in a neat agency. And it feels so cool to say it. lol..When i first had my daughter and i call her "my daughter", people would say "Oh you must love saying that huh? It must get the impression neat for you". And they were right. Now she's 3 and "my daughter" now feel like the equivalent of me saying "I have a computer"..LOL..I be a sign of that in the sense that it is so natural and comfortable now and NOT that she's the equivalent of a computer populace!

Best of luck to you hun! :)
lol... I just don't think it have sunk in yet, Nina. I doubt it will sound strange once she's here and in your arms!

I bet it is hard to get used to though.

Congrats on YOUR daughter!! :-)
It sounds weird because you have 2 little boys. So anything "daughter" is hot to you. You keep saying it because it's probably an amazing feeling to be capable of say it. Now you're going to have the best of both worlds.

I'm sure it would take a while to sink contained by if we ever had a girl too. But I have a feeling that's not gonna begin anyways. We're in boy central.
Answers:    Believe me, it works both ways. I still carry weirded out saying "my son" sometimes. And while shopping, I still steer towards the girl side, even when shopping for the baby...LOL. So, I'm almost 30 weeks, and it STILL hasn't sunk in fully.
Sometimes I still can't believe I have a daughter and she is 14 months ripened and I only have one son. But I had with the sole purpose him for 4 1/2 years so of course it will take time to adjust. And I still call my daughter "Lad" adjectives of the time and so does my husband.
"My Daughter"! Two of the Sweetest words in the English Language.. Two words that NEVER stop one a source of Pride, Good Feeling and Genuine Love! Just keep repeating those two little words Nina, your Babby Girl is on her way! Source(s): MY Daughters...Danielle 18 and Taylor 13

You're just use to saying "my son" for over 4 years. I'm sure it will be the same route for me, if I ever get my little girl.

I'm still so excited for you! *excitedly giggles*
awwwww, I am so glad you are getting a daughter!!

I solely have Jacob but I swore he'd be a girl so it did take a day or two for me to win used to having a son
AHHHH! CONGRATS!

When I first get pregnant, it took a while for me to realize I was really carrying a child... after a couple days though, you'll get the hang of it.
first:
CONGRATES!!

second i think when ever we are having a child, it just take a little time to sink in, that it is real.
Maybe thats why we parents are given 9 months to adjust.

Again Congrats on your untried bundle.
I would find it weird to say "my son" more, since I single have a daughter.

It will sink in soon.
Haha i'm sure it's only because you've been saying "My sons" for years, and it hasn't sunk contained by that the new baby is a GIRL! (Which again...yay!)
I already have one daughter, but she's so grown up that it's different to have a *baby* and my sons are still little so, it's kind of a shock I guess? I always talk just about how I wish I had a little girl to dress up within glittery things and play barbies with, so the thought of it actually up is kind of mind boggling.

But think how much fun you will have beside your new DAUGHTER hehe :)
Boys are better ner ner!
