Parents of kds close surrounded by age: do society ALWAYS mistake your kids for twins?
i was at the library yesterday and a teen girl came up to my kids in the double-stroller and said "oh my god your so lucky, i want twins." i be like "what, twins, where?" then i be at the store and an old lady asked me how old my twinss be. lol.
maybe its the stroller.
BTW they r 19 months apart but my daughter is only slightly smaller than her brother.
My sister and I are 10 months apart and born within the same year. We look a little alike all though ancestors that know us think we completely different. Its funny abotu the half time we will get dressed next come out and we will be wearing similar clothing. I am a little taller than her. She wears glasses and I only just wear mine. She has freckles while I dont. She has this baby look abotu her and she looks so childish while everyone thinks I look older than I am.
My youngest two are 16 months apart, they look so much alike that people enjoy always mistook them for twins,( their teachers used to call them Irish Twins, they are a order apart in school) now that they are older(my son 15 and my daughter almost 14) people are starting to mull over she is the older one. Drives my son crazy! He looks his age and she looks 16 or 17!
Lol. I have a two girls who are 2 & 5 y/o and my 5 year feeble
is pretty small and people always think their twins.
I contemplate its halarious!
Yes, my oldest two---now 11 and 10---were always mistaken for twins. I was similar to, "No, they're just siblings!" (Boy and girl, and he was even obviously bigger!) They be always in the side-by-side double stroller (they were 2 and 3) when it happen.
I fully expect it to happen, even more, with my youngest, who are 2 and 8 months... Both girls! Later on, of course. :)
OMG Yes! I don't even understand it, because they look NOTHING alike. One has sandy colored pelt and one has dark brown hair. I guess approaching you, it's usually because of the double stroller. But they were doing it even when our youngest was in his babe car seat in the stroller, while our middle child be just in the seat. I be like um, no..that one is a newborn. They are 10 months apart. Sean is 20lbs, 28 1/2 inches and LJ is 26lbs, 33 inches...so they're pretty close
My kids are 23 months apart and no, they do not look like twins...my son is really soaring for his age and he and my daughter don't look exactly alike...his hair is a shade lighter as well...
Answers: Not always, but repeatedly. Most of the time I just get the "Oh my goodness, you be busy" comments. Our eldest son is 21 months older than our daughter and our daughter is 13 months older than our youngest son. Our youngest son was born over 11 lbs though, so he and our daughter (the middle child) are almost the exact same size even though they are 13 months apart. People are constantly asking if they are twins. When I enjoy all three with me though, I really get adjectives the comments and "looks". I've learned to find the humor in it.
