What time are 8 year olds supposed to sleep at? Is my daughter deviant?

My 8 year old tends to fall asleep at 8pm. No situation of it's weekends, school days or vacations. At around 8pm she is out of it. Why?is it just her body clock? What time do 8 year olds sleep at?
My son's 9 and go to bed around 8. He gets up at 7 too. I don't think she's abnormal at adjectives.
From what I have see, it is an uncommon but good thing. So masses people in the world have sleep problems. Your daughter appears to enjoy been blessed with a wonderful little body clock.

According to http://kidshealth.org/parent/general/sle… , an 8 year old wishes about 10 hours of sleep per night. Your daughter is getting a little extra, but if that's what it take for her to feel rested throughout the day - then there's zilch wrong with it.

I plan on sending my daughter to bed around 8:30pm when she's that age. She will be turning 7 in a few weeks and currently has a bed time of 8:00.
That's pretty run of the mill. I have a 9 year old who falls asleep at 8:30 ish and a 7 year old who falls asleep at 8:00 ish (school nights)
I think that's a good bedtime and everyday for 8 year olds. That was my bedtime until junior high and I was need it. She might also be growing right now.

Just be happy to have a child that go to bed at night.
That is commonplace. My daughter needs about 11 hours of sleep as well. Sounds alot to us, but they are growing and really wear themselves out during the light of day. My daughter passed out on the couch as 8:30 last night, after begging me to permit her stay up late lol
It's her body clock and it is healthy. A child that age should get a minimum of 9-12 hours sleep per night according to sleep experts.
Answers:    Sounds okay to me.. Theres nil wrong with her just because she falls asleep at a certain time respectively night. It's great she's on a sleeping schedule.
My 8 year old-fashioned goes to bed between 8-8.30 and sleeps until 7am. I think it's fine. Your daughter obviously requirements that amount of sleep each night. I wouldn't worry!
When my daughter was 8, she had indistinguishable sleep pattern as your child - and her bedtime was also 8pm.

If your child is getting enough rest and plenty of exercise, her cut-out is fine.

All the best.
my 8- and 10-year-olds go to bed at 8:30. doesn't sound off-base to me.
