Why are teenagers so expensive?
Oh before you say anything I am looking for a job but so far nil...
Wait until you get to college and have to pay those bills.
If you think about it, you be expensive as a baby/toddler, too.
You had to have an entire new wardrobe every 3 months because you outgrew your clothes. You needed a exotic bed within 3 years of being born, along with sheets and bedding. You lost your pacifiers and your mom have to buy more. You probably ruined some of your mom's clothes, your clothes, and blankets with throw up, so new ones were needed. You played near hundreds of toys - too many to count and those all cost money. You went to birthday party and had to buy presents for friends. It was money then and it's money very soon...
You may have different "toys" now (video games that rack up the electric bill, a car that wishes gas and repairs, etc.), but it's still money.
Give your mom a big hug and thank her for everything - she deserves it!
And if it really bothers you, maybe you can get a part-time errand (just ten hours a week or so) and possibly buy some of your own things.
wow you're lucky that drivers ed only costs 300 where you live. It cost 500 where I'm from. But once you attain a job you can start buying all of that stuff for your self. And to make your self touch a little bit better help out more around the house, like do extra chores. Source(s): I'm 16
well there is nothing wrong beside you needing money. for your personal
things. and you shouldn't fell guilty at all remember the tax break your people gets back from the government respectively year. i know you live at home and your parents support you but they have been getting a tax
rebate check on you for 16 years immediately.
Answers: You're growing up. You have more things that you want, rather than just what you obligation. Along with part of growing up, life only just gets more expensive. Have you ever noticed that adult shoes are double the price as kids shoes, even if they're one and the same style and everything?
Or have you noticed how you seem to take WAY less Christmas gifts now than you did as a child? As a child, you usually wanted little things similar to a walking puppy, a doll that cries, all of those kinds of things. but as you get elder, you want ipods, cell phones, things like that, which are much more expensive. So you get one major entry rather than a many small things.
Driver's training is a part of life span, as are senior pictures. That's hardly a thing you can change.
I can buy my 6 month frail daughter an outfit for 5 bucks, but clothes for teenagers are much more expensive than that. Stores just plan that. When you get older, you want to fit within, so you want to have relatively new clothing. So, of course stores are going to angle the price, because they know you're going to buy it.
It's nothing to be worried about. You don't cost your parents any more money than the average 16 year old. I'm sure your parents meditate you're more important than the expenses.
I worked full time when i be 16, so i bought EVERYTHING myself and paid my mother rent.
I think your spoilt, teenagers nowadays Always are and i guess the parents are to blame not the teenagers doing the asking.
ya i no, i feel the same way. I am also contained by cheerleading and lacrosse so thats like $2,000 (varsity in both) together. But to save money (well my parents money) I shop at plato's closet instead of the shopping precinct. Same cute clothes, less money. Or i shop at ross. My dog also costs a lot of money so I started babysitting to help reward for her (dog food, dog shampoo, exc..) I live close to my hi- school so i walk so I dont need a sports car.
