Is it wrong to insist the kids play outside during the light of day within summer?

Of course they should go outside! That's what kids are supposed to do!
Get those boys out side! These are crucial ages to hold on to them active, it will develop into a healthy active fully fledged life. Don't you remember going outside and playing with friends so long that sometimes you forgot about lunch and when you be called in to eat you cried or whine because you were playing a game? We have the wii and playstation surrounded by our house, the kids aren't able to play it on nice days, if its raining that's fine, if it is nice they are outside playing.
Im a mother and a childminder. On sunny days kids are outside, wet days indoors, even when their inside we still play games on the wii! Try a chart that allows them a certain amount of time for computers and ds's! appropriate luck!
In my feelings, children are too addicted to game concils. Which is why, you need to set a limited time for your children to play on them. They involve fresh air, especially because it's sunny. As you said, they have a big acre, so they should use the oppurtunity. Tell them that: they need yo seize fresh air and be healthier. And also, watching TV all time is not healthy.

Send them outside! Kids stipulation the fresh air, it is far better for them to be outside getting active play than stuck in front of the computer games.
They should go outside. It teaches them a lot of different things any by themselves or with friends. It isn't healthy for them to always be inside playing video games adjectives the time. That teaches them how to be lazy and how to get margarine.
Yes, it doesn't have to be all day but they do call for to get some time outside. Maybe you can set up a schedule of sorts and have them return with about an hour and half in the morning outside and a couple hours at lowest possible in the afternoon.

Personally my kids are only allowed screen time whether it be video games or TV within the early morning when they first get up and at night after dusk. Other than that they do other things.

For me it helps if we invite friends over because then they have someone else to play near outside. Also We go a lot of places. They can't play video games and watch TV if we aren't home. We jump to the skate park, the beach, the playground, bike riding, etc...

If we get a rainy year then I am more lenient about it but they still don't purely sit there and play all day.
Yes! Playing outside encourages physical development as in good health as imagination. We often go for days without turning on the TV for our daughter.
sometimes but not necessarily other, mix it up.
Yes definitely. Too many parents are overprotective of their kids and don't want them to go out. So kids are all overweight as a result.
Yes, Kids need the air, staying inside playing games isnt good! Encourage them to play outside, install a play nouns or something! Take them to the park for a picnic! Play some football! Kids were born to play outside.
Spank them and throw them out.
Yes, it's important for them to get fresh nouns But not just that, by allowing them to sit in front of a computer or tv all morning they don't get the social interaction children need to carry through into fully developed life. Even if you give them a time limit on outside, and buy some fun toys. Hopefully soon they'll start have fun and forget their nintendos for a while.

When it's sunny outside and my child doesn't want to go out by himself I take out a book and we have a picnic, or some art materials.
