Why do babies cry when they're tired?

Because they are too young to know that they can only go to sleep, so they cry to get their parent's attention, so that they can be put to sleep.
babies cry for everything...its there way of communicating with you and maxim..hey i'm sleepy.put me to bed.or hey i can't go to sleep..rock me to sleep Source(s): www.bellesirene.webs.com
that is their only way to communicate that they are discontent. I know I get cranky when I am tired, instead of crying I am able to vocalize and say I'm tired and turn lay down. Babies can't do that.
