10 year old-fashioned boy birthday jamboree?
i need some ideas for a 10 year old birthday shindig. He is in to sports, electronic games, skateboarding. I thought about a normal bash with waterslide, hotdogs and other food but money is a little tight right now. Do you come up with a sleepover with some pizza and a small cake would be okay? Do i invite only his male friends and cousins for the sleepover or do i host a year party with girls and boys and family and after have the boys sleep over. thanks for the help.
Answers: Ask your son who he wishes to have at his party. But I would limit it. I grew up surrounded by a very poor home and the rule was either hold a party with over 5 people or go and get 1 big present. So if we had like 10 people at our knees-up we got some little presents but if we had 5 or under we get the little presents and one bigger one.
We would always just hang out scrutinize movies and play games outside. Pizza and cake sounds fantastic!
I would ask your son what he would prefer, I haven't done the sleep over thing yet, but I know they are a lot of work. Family party are nice, it really is just a matter of preference. I know my son would choose relatives and friends, but he probably wouldn't even want them to sleep over, maybe 1 friend or 2 but not a bunch.
