where do i begin...
well contained by nov of 2006 we had our 1st daughter (my hubby and i) we also had three dogs (our 1st children) but when out human baby come home the 2 little dogs started biting and the big dog started "going" all over the house. after 2 months of trying to work with them we decided that it be to much and we gave then to a friend. i almost killed my husband (and the little to where on earth my babies, but now that i had my daughter to think of it be a little bit easier for me) so i told him one day we will have another dog! ably so that day was last year i consistency in love with a little dog in good health when we went to get him there where on earth 2 and my husband baggggged to get both so i caved in and said yes. after i couldn't handel them with a 1 yr old and 2 small dogs and no help from the husband i be going crazy so they went to a better home.
now here is the problem my hubby wants this boxer its his friends dog and they have to move and where they are living they can not have a big dog! so he took it upon himself to meet the dog and jump down in love. he said im bring him home and thats it. i told it him it is not fare because.

2.i want NOTHING to do with this dog.
3.i am a stay at home mom with a 2.5 yr dated and a 4 month old.
4. my house is going to smell like dog again. our stuff is goiung to get chowed and adjectives they kids toys.
5. wat if the baby is on the bed and somehow the dog jumps onto the bed and hurts the baby.
i dont know what to do i dont want to take off my husband over a dog but this is very unfair.
am i being careless? and advise? we can even afoord a dog right now vets, food! i am crying myself to sleep tonight because i KNOW that i can not touch a dog not right now.
ps. i know we have given our other dogs to friends and family but i believe that they go to better homes for their situations. so please dont tell us that we a bad people for giving our dogs away
sounds like you merely dont like dogs. its your house to, if you dont want the dog, then you can leave or work it out. However, i do believe your reason for not wanting it are ridiculous. Yes, he should have talked this over with you, but I dont believe that dogs and kids cant live together. Ive have dogs my whole life and they never hurt me when i was a babe, toddler, or young child. Yes, as i got older and played rougher, I get hurt. In general, dogs and kids/babies do well together. However, I still wouldnt bring a strange grown dog into the house. If your husband wants a dog he should grasp a puppy so it will grow up with the kids.
Tell him flat out NO. The money that you will be putting into the dog could be going on the babies.Tell him that unless he is gonna put it in a kennel while he go to work and get the dog formal training there is no way.
Please DO NOT get this dog. You are not one selfish at all, you are completely correct. Please sit your husband down and explain to him that you can not take fastidiousness of a dog at this time. Please read the following reasons why you can't keep this dog and pass them on.
First past its sell-by date, Boxers are a super high energy dog, they need tons of exercise. At most minuscule an hour run every day. If the dog does not get the exercise it needs later it can become frustrated and start some bad habits, chewing, digging at your carpet or surrounded by the yard, etc.
You are going to be the primary care taker for this dog, and you have already stated that you couldn't hold the smaller dogs you had in the past. Your kids are going to come first and the dog will be disregarded. Not good for the dog.
Dogs are expensive...food, vet bills, grooming costs, etc.
Dogs need to be trained, especially when they live closely with small children. Training take so much time, and it is crucial that all dogs at least know the basics. This take a lot of reinforcement. You are too busy with your babes for that.
In broad, this situation will be bad for the dog. Just sit your husband down and tell him that while you would love to have a dog, very soon is not the right time. Wait until later when your kids are old enough to sustain out. Having a dog will help them learn responsibility, and what it takes to own a pet. Then the whole family will be able to delight in your pet. And if you wait you have more time to pick the right dog for your family.
I option you the best of luck. Just remember that you are doing the right thing for the dog and for you.
Here is the rule: the line should not get a dog unless both you and your husband want the dog. If one says no, it is no.
The same goes for any big cash. Now, sometimes you will say no, and sometimes he will say no.
Tell him that.
as expected not, you would end up taking care of the dog, and there hold been many cases of dogs hurting little kids, try to explain that to him, good luck
First off you're not a bad creature for giving the dogs away to people that can take care of them. The unpromising people just kick them out into the street, agree to them run all over the neighborhood and take them out into the country and drop them off to fend for themselves(which is the chosen form contained by my town).
Dogs don't always have to live in the house. Do you guys own a yard? If you do leave the dog outside so it's not messing up the house. Ta-da problem solved.
Answers: I dont assume you are bad people because you gave the dogs away. I regard you husband is being childish and selfish. Getting a pet needs to be a household decision. If you are not ready for a pet then he should respect that. There will be plenty of time for a dog when you kids are for a moment older and can be expected to keep their toys picked up and help to comfort for the dog. Getting a dog with a toddler and a baby is in my feelings asking for heartache. Especially if you are opposed to it and you are the one home all the time. Sorry but I think you husband requests to grow up and think about the family as a in one piece and not just what he wants.
