What cool stuff own you done next to your ancestral so far this summer?
Bonus question- how much do you think you've paid out for these activities
Go to the coast, swim in the outdoor pool with friends, BBQ a lot, own a few drunken revels for the adults with a rented bouncy palace for the kids to keep them occupied. Probably $300 if that.
The biggest hit so far was camp outside! We just set up a tent in the backyard. And, my husband took the kids outside, lit the lamp (it hang in the tent good for effects) and told stories.
We bought a membership at the zoo. That be $76 for our family of four, plus an adult and child guest. This includes free admission into other zoos across the state and country. One bigger zoo not far away have a Dino exhibit (animitronics) that was a huge hit! And, the rain forrest wasn`t bad any.
We have plans to go to the wilds, which is a windy sanctuary for animals. Its all outside and you just drive through. These have adjectives been free except the initial fee. You can even pack a picnic lunch!
Done the pool and slip and slide. We had those already so free again.
Our homeowners association have been putting on parties and events for kids at the pool. This weekend is 80s weekend and they are providing pizza. Should be a blast! They did a kids party during the year and a July 4th festival.
I also like to check the metroparks, you can even be put on an email list. They do closely of fun things. hikes at night and different trials to collect stickers. Tomorrow is hobo day and tvere will be people dressed as hobos making hobo stew. You can bring your own ingrediants and sustain make your own. All free!
We also went strawberry picking and blueberry picking at local farms. No cost to pick freshly pay for what you do pick. I picked four pecks and paid about $5.
Also a petting zoo beside hayrides/wagon rides. Zoo admission was $4 and rides were $1 respectively. You bring your own lunch and can picnic on the farm...lost of great fields!
Nothing big this summer :) I like comings and goings that will wear them down and that don`t break the bank.
Answers: We have a real cool, spur of the moment day today. The whole ethnic group, Mom, Dad, 3 siblings and their spouses and 2 toddlers, ended up at one couples' house to go swimming in their pool. The host and hostess barbecue. Mom and Dad bought pizza and everyone ate what they wanted. For dessert, another sibling bought an ice cream cake. Lots of fun and family togetherness and the single cost was the food, which was shared.
We go camping with friends and their kids. The campsite was pretty cheap, (We chipped contained by $15 per night) and it was near the beach, so we spent the light of day in the sun and sand. Since it was outdoors and such, it was pretty low push button and worry free. Including gas and food, we spent about $100 for the whole weekend.
Even though camp sounds all buggy and hot, we had great weather and the campsite was simply fantastic with NICE showers and restrooms.
we have gone to the Grand Canyon , Phoenix , and stayed at this Animal sanctuary called Best Friends, they rescue these animals
1. dogs
2.cats
3.horses
4.goats
5. potbelly pigs
6. rabbits
7. birds
8. and gibbering animals (they usualley realese them back in the wild)
so any way you can rent these cottages or cabin there. including dining and air fair, and that stuff 2,000-3,000 dollars perchance more
p.s. we are going to disney world in october and might go to the beach this summer
My daughter rode a plane for the first time...and HATED it. I felt really desperate for everyone around us. On the bright side, it was only a 2 hour flight. We flew down to visit my sister's family connections, and they actually paid for us because of frequent flier miles. :)
So, I'm not really sure how much we've paid. We also go to a little fourth of July party with some friends. We didn't stay long though, Bridie acquire a stomach bug right after supper, so we went home.
I'm not really sure how much we've spent... just average driving fees, you know, and the regular.
Zilch.
No contact - the piece and quiet from the nagging and denial comments is the sweetest thing!
We went to my family's cabin for a few days, (that's free) and went to see Harry Potter. That cost 5 bucks (my kid be free)
Next weekend my husband and I are going to Lagoon (an amusement park) and that will cost about $80.
And next month we are taking our son to the zoo. That's like, $40.
We've gone to Sesame Place for the weekend. It was $150 for the tickets and $100 for the hotel, plus however much we spent on food and suveniers. Other than that we've gone to the drive-ins, gone to the park, done a few playdates, zilch expensive.
Nothing all the same. In August my husband is FINALLY getting leave so we can go home for a few weeks. I'm sure that will be close to $1,000 after travel and the stuff we do at home.
went to the zoo
and
$81
Busted my Mom out of the nursing home to go go-carting.
Well...every 4th of July we stay with my Father-in-law for about a week. This is the closest entity we can do for a vaca. He has a big house and a pool and we take care of it for him while we're staying in attendance so he doesn't mind us coming.
This year we went on July 1st and on there we stopped off at the aquarium. Then the subsequent day we went to the zoo. The day after that we played within the pool all day and got extremely adjectives. On the 4th we still didn't learn our lesson about the pool and went out within the sun anyway. My Father-in-law has a big party with lots of kids so my son have plenty of kids to play with. We shot fireworks, and ate. Then on the 5th we rested up and popped the remainder of the fireworks again (which lasted 3 hours). We left and come home on the 6th and haven't wanted to do Jack tihs since we got back.
So 2 tank of gas and a dinner out on one night for 2 adults and one child, including food at the zoo and aquarium came up to about $300.00 and not a penny more. I feel like giving myself a pat on the back when we got home and still have $100 left over (we budgeted 400).
We have also been to see Transformers 2 & Harry Potter which be about $60 all together.
Grand total: $360.00 Source(s): Me.
