What is a Naughty Mat?
I just seen it in a Q.
Is it another form of Tartism Promoting? Is it another phase of Time Out?

Yeah, roughly, anything to do with a time out is considered a "naughty spot" (thanks to Not-so-super nanny and ninny 911...no offense to those of you who have watch the show, I love them myself, they are ALWAYS good for a laugh), you can have a "naughty mat" (which is portable, sort of breaking the entire consistency concept), "unruly chair", "naughty step" and what ever else you could think of. Frankly, my dad had what would be call a "naughty hand", it extended from his wrist and would make contact with my bottom when I be "naughty". Truth is, once the kids could fully comprehend and appreciate what I could say, we had a "naughty" (we didn't call it "naughty" though, a short time ago the step) spot, the bottom stair. Now that they are much older, it's loss of privileges.

Lol some bs. If I ever feel the want to put my kids n time out then I sit they asses in a corner. If they get up I'll whoop that azz. If they holler and have a tantrum I whoop that azz. If they get up. God forbid they get up. I'm whoopin some azz. Ain't no fail to acknowledge them and they eventually sit down b/c they're not gettin attention. Uh no! And why even go thru all that. Settle the score near a sound azz whooping and omit the other bs like a damn badly behaved mat

It's a mat the child can sit on instead of standing in the corner for time out. Time out is a punishment and my son stands in the corner and doesn't lounge on a mat.
It's a time out spot, instead of sending them to their room for timeout. Some people buy a special rug or mat or chair for the kid to sit on. I don't do adjectives that. I designate a spot and that's the timeout spot.
At my house, it depends on if one boy or both boys need timeout. Usually I have one of them sit in the dining room on the floor where on earth I can see them and make sure they're not playing with anything or scooting somewhere else. If both of them need it, afterwards I put one on the corner of my bed where I can still see them from the living room and the other in the dining room spot.

A naughty mat is like a naughty bench, it's a location where the parents can put their kids in time out. It helps kids to realize that that specific spot, routine time out. I hope I answered your question.
