What is a SPOILED child ? Am I " Spoiled " ?
I really don't think so.. What is spoiled ?
I think that if every parent had the financial stability to provide for their kids, they would adjectives choose to do so.
My friends all seem to think that I am some variety of spoiled kid because:
I live in a nice house, with a maid and a cook.
I drive a Mercedes that my parents bought for me when I was 20
They pay envelope for the gas/insurance/maintenance
There is a game room, gym, and indoor pool in my home.
And all the little things that they appear to point out to me - blackberry, Laptop, desktop computer flat screen in my bedroom blah blah blah...
I don't brag about these things to my friends at adjectives, they simply come over and say " YOU'RE SPOILED"
What is spoiled... ? I don't get it, because both my parents work hard to provide for my sister and I ? And the MATERIAL possessions that we own net us simultaneously spoiled ?
lol that's silly! don't you agree ?
talking approaching this makes you seem more spoiled. the reason you are is because YOU didnt work for the things your parents did. so it primarily comes down to did you work for these if you did your not if your parents did then you are.
Your merely spoiled if you expect these things, don't appreciate them, and don't show your parents how much you care about them - also, if you are not spoiled you should pass along to others some of the appropriate fortune that has come your way.
Volunteer for an organization contained by your community that supports the needy, the homeless, the aged, the children who have special needs.
THEN, you would know that you are not spoiled.
life isnt all in the region of material possessions. when pple come of age they should b workin 2 provide for themselves othrwise when the time for them 2 move out comes they wont kno how 2 do things 4 themselves. when u move out u wont have a maid and cook
Spoiled is when your handed everything and you don't work for anything.
Your over 20, do you even own a job?
Earn your own ****. My parents are pretty set financially but I have to buy all my own stuff. I merely turned 19. I pay for my car, insurance, gas, maintenance. I foot for food, I pay for everything.
Its called responsibility. When happens when mommy and daddy aren't around to filch care of you?
Your situation doesn't make you spoiled. Your perspective seem pretty much healthy bc you realize that it's just stuff you have, which doesn't set down your character. It doesn't mean you're not willing to work for what you need/want, or to offer back to the community, etc.
okay i started reading this and your attitued is adjectives wrong first of all you friends only say your spoiled because they desire that they could have the things you have,
It sounds like you parents work really thorny to make sure you ahve a good life dont be brought down beacuse of wat your friends utter jsut be you and enjoy life :-)
You ARE spoiled. You acquire nice things without having to work for them, that's called anyone spoiled. But there is a difference between being spoiled and being spoiled rotten. When you're spoiled rotten, you complain in the region of things even though everything in your life is a free ride, brag about adjectives your posessions to your less fortunate friends, and you're just down right snooty. You sound resembling you're just spoiled, not rotten. You respect your parents and don't seem to get upset when you don't catch what you want. So, you are spoiled, but you're not spoiled rotten so I wouldn't take it personally.
you're only spoiled when your attitude is rotten. is it?
the way I think through "spoiled", material possessions have nothing to do beside it, unless you went "I want a laptop and an indoor pool now!" and they did it for you...
yes you are spoiled, you are not a child and do not need your parents to provide these things for you! its not the material possessions that manufacture you spoiled its the sense of entitlement that kids who get everything they want seem to have. if you grasp everything you want how do you understand when you cant have something, that is spoilt.
I don't know you personally, but i think your friends are green with envy. Because you may have nicer things than them, they feel the need to take home it a bad thing, to make themselves quality better. That's my view.
Answers: I guess there are two aspects to spoiled. One is the bratty kind that gets cranky when she does not catch her way.
The other is just being competent to afford (or have bought for you) all of the things you mention. Maybe they should substitute "lucky" or "fortunate" for spoiled.
If they only mention it when you hold them over, then you might not be the bratty kind of spoiled, just the lucky one;)
"when I was 20" - so how older are you?
If you WERE a child, that's one thing. But you're an adult, and you live like this? Do you work for anything you own? You should try it, it's a wonderful feeling. I have less than you, but I hold one thing you will never have while you live like this - the amazing fluency that I earnt everything I have and that brilliant 'warm fuzzy feeling' that you get when you finally find something you've worked for.
Parents helping children out while at university is one thing (I really hope you are at university during all this and not just sitting on your trailing doing nothing) - but this is not 'helping out', this is giving you everything and then a bit more. Whether you'll believe this or not I don't know, but they are doing you a massive disservice in life. When you do, soon, find yourself having to live off your own means, you're going to find it a big struggle. It's nation like you that end up sinking into debt later on contained by life.
