Any babysitting tips, please?

Just in general- what you do with them, how to keep them entertain, e.t.c. I'm just starting off. I'm going to take a Red Cross course, so no medical information needed, but any broad tips you have would be great.

And please don't tell me things from the American Girl Babysitting Book, because I already have that and hold read it. Just general things, please!

And if you haven't read the American Girl Babysitting Book, so you don't know if the tips you're giving are in there, merely please give them anyway. I would like advice, please! Thanks so much!

Oh, and I've babysat my elder cousin's kids before, because, you know, I'm handy and we're related, but I want to do more. Any advice on how to spread the word?

Thanks again, one later time!
Be patient with the kids, when they act up, speak to them within a very firm voice.
Hang flyers and I don`t know volunteer if you go to church to help out there. Have your aunt refer you to her friends. Stand your ground, dont consent to them walk over you, let them know you are in charge short being bossy or too stern. Keep them busy and entertained beside games and other activities. Create a routine, depending on the age, e.g. a toddler would have nap time at a secure time everyday.
