All parents, would you hire this toddler sitter?
A 13 year old female, honors program student, camp counsler, available most night and weekends, very good with children, impressively responsible. Has experience baby sitting 4 year old triplets.
Bonus questions! (Most likley to be chosen as best answer)
Also what would you approaching to see included in an advertisment?
What are your standards? '
Where is a good place to hang flyers?
Thanks so much
No, I wouldn't hire a 13 year old to survey my child. My requirements would be 16 or older and with an up to date first aid training certificate. 13 is REALLY childish and just the fact that your saying it's partly way to 26 is halairious. An 8 year old is half agency to 16; doesn't mean I'll let them babysit my kid!
Someone as young as 13, I would probably start on a weekend, during the day and see how she does and how my child responds to her. She sounds drastically responsible.
In an advertisement, I'd probably want to see their age and any programs they are involved in, if they have their babysitting course, etc. I happily have never had to use a babysitter who wasn't family but if I have to, I'd want someone who had their babysitting course, and references of other families she have sat for, to speak to her parents possibly, probably someone over 16. And the only place I ever notice these ad is in a grocery store or in my son's daycare.
Nope, too young.
All the best.
13 seems a little young-looking to leave a child alone. Maybe I would if I was around like at a Church or picnic. Probably I would hire a 13 year ripened as a mother's helper. I would like to see the rate and availability on the flyer. I would like you to know CPR and first aid. Hang flyers at the store, post bureau, banks. Popluar places.
No. Sorry...For someone to babysit my daughter they would need to own a car, a license and probably be over 18...
no, i wouldn't pay a 13 year ripened to watch my kids alone. maybe if there be an adult in the house over 21 with her. i wouldn't even set off them with my sister who's 13 because i remember how much i didn't know at that age. maybe during the day i'd hire a 13 year matured to entertain the kids while i did some work or chores. good luck though.
I prefer to use family or close friends that I can trust and own known for quite some time, if at all possible I avoid have a babysitter period. I earned a babysitting certificate when I be 12 but I'd prefer someone a little older to watch my kid.
In an ad I'd like to see, above all experience.
My standards are high, afterall it's my child we're conversation about, I want someone who is willing to play with him and not freshly sit around to make money.
Local supermarkets are probably your best bet for flyers.
it really depends on how old your kids are...
-you could also arrange to speak beside her before you decide if she's suitable.
..oh i get it, youre the hoarding ...-people don't really hire sitters much anymore -its become a rather untrusting society
-you could still get a paper round...
Answers: Wow, I judge those are great qualities.
Age isn't as important as maturity even, I know PLENTY of absolutely immature 18-year-olds that I would never consider hiring. But I would also feel A LOT more comfortable if in attendance was more than one person involved. Maybe two 13-year-olds, a 13-year-old and an older sibling, etc.
This 13-year-old sounds awfully experienced, and that's much more important.
I would like to see all of those things that you timetabled in an advertisement. Especially the experience with 4 year older triplets. One 4 year old is tough enough...but THREE? that's simply amazing to me.
I would also like to know how much they charge, perchance telling me how long they've worked with kids (for instance, maybe they grew up taking concern of children and it's something that just comes natural to them). I would also like a phone number, as expected, and maybe an offer to meet next to them first. Maybe saying something like "willing to come upon with the parents in advance and thieve any questions that you have".
No, I wouldn't let anyone that immature watch my daughter, regardless of how much experience she has.
Edit: That is young. So if something happen to my baby, you're gonna walk to the ER?
i would hire her as long as she has be in CPR and first aide classes i would hang flyers at the supermarket and places people dance on a regular basis
I would hire a 13 year old thats to young. I wouldn't hire anybody beneath 18 to care for my children Source(s): advice
There's surrounded by no way that I would hire a 13 year old to watch my kids.
If my nearby is no one in my family who is competent to baby-sit, then I just don't go out or I bring my children beside me. I just will not trust a 13 year old kid that I don't know! LOL
Sure would. The only standards I have are non smokers. Not explanation I am antismoking just cause I don't want them stealing my smokes.
It might help if you offer contact information for reference. Ask people you've babysat for before if other customers can call them to attain an idea of your services, and then provide new customers beside that information. I reccommend not using your parents as references, though, unless you really really have to, as that looks a bit fishy.
(And btw, when you get to be 26, you'll realize how young at heart you were when you were 13.)
